A tiny city woman, a grief counsellor on the run from her life, just keeps driving. She ends up at the country Bed and Breakfast of a married couple - ex Greco-Roman Wrestling Champions who are stuck in an old, unspoken grief.

The short welcomes the audience to an emblematic day in the life of Cadhan, a 15 year old boy living in a small country town in rural Australia. Cadhan shares the house with his abusive, alcoholic father, who is frequently aggressive towards the boy. The short captures a singular but representative moment of confrontation between the father and child, a moment which forces Cadhan to escape the house. The high tension short depicts the fear, neglect and isolation experienced by countless abused children. Cadhan is ultimately a metaphor. The protagonist's name was chosen for its meaning. A Gaelic name, 'Cadhan' means 'barnacle goose'. These birds force their chicks out of their cliff-side nests before their wings are fully grown. The ensuing fall means that, while some survive, many of the young die. This parental act of apparent cruelty informs the entire narrative playing on the survival instinct that kicks in when Cadhan's father attacks.
