Sin ningún tipo de ayuda económica o subvención alguna, y a través de la autofinanciación, JM Castillo ha conseguido rodar la mitad del material, pero para este segundo tramo (el más difícil y costoso) recurre al famoso crowdfunding. Como gratitud a las decenas de personas que han colaborado hasta ahora de forma altruista en su proyecto, decide donar el 100% de lo que recaude KB12 a obras benéficas.
