A small village rejoices at the arrival of a new baker. But when his young wife runs off with another man, he is unable to keep baking and the village is thrown into disarray.

A member of an up and coming motorcycle racing team abandons his teamates to join a rival team. He ends up playing second fiddle to the champion of the new team. Not satisfied, and against the wishes of his new boss, he tries to beat the champion but fails. He leaves racing, eventually to return and reunite with his old friends in an attempt to win the Grand Prix.

The beautiful Eagle Speedster a modern twist on the iconic, timeless E-Type, with its 4.7 liter engine and an eye-watering £500,000 price tag. And there's the all new Jensen Interceptor R with its 6.2 liter Corvette motor. The mighty Brutus, a vintage car fitted with a flame-spitting BMW airplane engine. Also the single-seat, B.A.C. Mono - capable of 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. What more could you want?.

The 'Formula One' racing car is not really a car at all, it's an aerodynamic projectile on wheels. The most obvious feature of these 'WING' cars is a device called a 'skirt', that seals aerodynamic suction beneath the car, sticking it to the road. British designers have developed the skirt to a point where their cars are faster than the more powerful factory cars. The tiny 'Williams (Grand Prix Engineering)' team from Didcot won every championship last year with their skirted car. Now the Paris-based ruling body ('Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile' - aka 'FIA') of motorsport has banned the skirt and thrown this new technology into disarray. 'BBC: Horizon' spent the winter with 'Williams' and their 1980 'Formula One World Champion' driver Alan Jones. What is the essence of a modern racing car? How can they improve the performance for 1981 - with skirts lifted?

It's Round 5 of the 2022 'W Series' Championship and we visit the historic and picturesque 'Circuit Paul Ricard' in France. It has a short history compared to other racing circuits. It was first built 1969 and has held several 'Formula 1 Grand Prix's' intermittently in it's time from 1971 and has produced some of the most memorable races in 'F1'. It's idyllic location is complemented by it striking colourful blue and red run-off areas (instead of gravel traps). These run-off's are highly grippy but severely abrasive to the tyres. If our 'W Series' competitors go off the circuit, they will find out to their cost. There skill, speed and precision will be tested in front of the 'Formula 1' teams and another new audience base.
