Kathleen stirs Jokke to accept becoming manager of the pub instead of her horse trainer, which would be taking the job of his bossy wife Leen, and shares his bed intimately. Leen strikes back, convincing former cycling champion Roger De Vlaeminck to become the Stampers's coach, so they could win the annual local competition and is eager to accept Arne's proposal to buy the pub from Derdeyn, without really consulting Jokke, who hates being its manager from experience. Meanwhile the family doubts Bert's grief for Alexandra as he has her cremated without any ceremony and rushes straight afterward to the notary; Jasper feels neglected by Lotte and makes Bert understand he and his house-mate Jens are getting tired of the guest. Bert tells his 'sister' Brit -supposedly in Johannesburg- he thinks he can get sweet, naive heiress Lotte to marry him and inherit some Derdeyn money, if only he can drive her away from Jasper- by coincidence they are seen taking and kissing by Lotte's already suspicious mother...
