- Juan is a widowed with three children. He was on the verge of ruin, but he inherits a fortune from his uncle, Giancarlo. In exchange, the family will have to take care of Chueco, a chimpanzee who hides a great secret: he can talk. Things get complicated when Professor Macarato, an old partner of his uncle, pays him a visit and tries to steal the ape from him.
- Juan wants to play the piano at a charity event hosted by his neighbor, Gustavo. However, Chueco accidentally speaks in front of Gustavo so Juan has to make him believe that he is practicing a ventriloquism act with the ape. Gustavo is very impressed and invites him to participate in the event as a ventriloquist. Juan refuses but Chueco messes things up to get what he wants.
- The Gustozzi family receives a visit from the director of the Animal Protection Society who wants to check on the ape's well being. But, when she sees the ape being treated as a human being, she warns them that if the ape doesn't start behaving like the animal he is he will have to be taken to a sanctuary. Chueco takes this the wrong way and will do everything in his power to scare the director away.
- Juan is invited to go on an international tour with a great star pianist. While he's gone, the kid's maternal grandparents will take care of the children and take them to their ranch in Chihuahua. But Chueco is left out so he comes up with a strategy to sabotage the trip. All seems lost until the ape discovers that the grandparents have an evil plan.
- Chueco is bored so he convinces Juan to host a poker game with Gustavo and his tough friends. Juan tries to fit in and win the game, but he ends up losing his most prized possession: the piano. Chueco is determined to get Juan's piano back, so he tries to teach him the art of cards and deception, but it is impossible. The pair is left with no choice but to resort to a plan that never fails: cheating.
- Juan and Amanda are charmed by a famous soap opera actor who visits the Gustozzi family in order to study Chueco for his new role. Delfina is raising funds to save an animal sanctuary which has a connection to the popular actor, who hides a dark side. Chueco will make sure to unmask him in front of everyone.
- Chueco is kidnapped by two thugs hired by Macarato. In order to create division among them and be able to escape, the ape pretends to be an alien inside the body of a chimpanzee. In the meantime, the Gustozzi family get help from Patricia, the neighboring policewoman, to try to rescue Chueco. They will have to decide whether or not to reveal the ape's secret to her.
- After a check-up, the vet advises Juan to feed Chueco special canned food for chimpanzees. But he doesn't like this and is not willing to change his diet so he mixes the contents of the cans with Juan's food. But the ape food turns out to have an unexpected side effect on humans.... hair growth.
- Chueco bets Amanda that he is a better cook than she. While trying to cook an Argentinean-style barbecue with the help of Juan, he invents a new sauce, which is a huge success among Martín's schoolmates. With the boy's help, they set up a business and start cooking day and night. But Sofía, Juan's girlfriend, is about to discover that the family's pet is a talking chimpanzee.
- It's Chueco's first time at the cinema. But things don't go according to plan... The ape soon gets bored and bothers the audience and the uptight manager of the place. The manager threatens to ban Juan from the cinema for life. When he finds out that Chueco is a chimpanzee in disguise, the ape comes up with a plan to save Juan and to become a movie star for the day.
- Chueco becomes Dr. Apeius, the manager for "Los Desquiciados", Delfina's band because he wants them to participate in a contest. The prize is no less than a trip to Africa. Chueco plays the role of an energetic and aggressive businessman and does everything he can to get the coveted trip to the land of his ancestors. However, things get messy and Chueco may have been jeopardizing the future of the band.
- Chueco watches a horror movie and is determined to communicate with the spirit of Uncle Giancarlo using a Ouija board. Things obviously don't go according to his plans, and the spirit possesses Chueco's body. They finally manage to get it out of him, but Giancarlo refuses to leave. He starts to possess the rest of the family. Things soon become very strange.
- Alessio, a secret son of Uncle Giancarlo has come to collect his late father's inheritance. The Gustozzi family is in for a huge blow: does that mean they will be loosing Chueco? They come up with a plan to scare the new heir and his family away. But Chueco discovers that there are two female chimpanzees waiting for him in Italy, which changes things. And so, he decides to embark on a new journey... which will have awful consequences.
- After being kidnapped by Macarato, Chueco miraculously shows up at the Gustozzi's door. But the joy is cut short when they realize Chueco is not the same: he no longer speaks and is now just an ordinary monkey. The family tries to get the old ape back, to no avail, until that night Vicente discovers that Chueco is just pretending as a strategy to deceive Macarato.
- Chueco wants to be independent and have his own bedroom, but there are no spare rooms in the house. Due to Chueco's pressure, Juan empties the basement. But the monkey is too stylish to live in a dump and turns it into the coolest room in the house. To do so, he took expensive items from the neighbors and they are not happy at all. And neither will be Juan when he finds out.
- Chueco wants to be the star of a viral video and be portrayed on the news, so he decides to replace the drummer in Delfina's band. But, along the way, Chueco will be responsible for breaking up the band days before a gig. He will set up then to accomplish two things in the show: getting the band back together and becoming a star.
- Chueco receives a delicious piece of chocolate cake from the late Uncle Giancarlo. He tells everyone to stay away from it, but that night he finds the plate empty. Somebody has stolen it. Determined to find the thief, Chueco becomes Simius Holmes and interrogates the family. The investigation reveals that that everyone is lying, and including Chueco himself, who knows more than anyone can imagine.
- Juan has to take care of Gustavo, who has had cosmetic surgery, and Chueco takes advantage of the actor's lack of vision to pretend to be Isabel, Juan's cousin. What nobody is expecting is that Gustavo will fall madly in love with the character created by the ape, who starts receiving tons of presents from him. The family will have to figure out ways for Gustavo not to find out the truth.
- Chueco, with Juan as his assistant, shoots a short film to help Delfina in a school project. After the film turns out to be a mess and Delfina fails the assignment, Chueco ask for a second chance and suggests a short film with the whole family as lead actors, but his celebrity-like demands push the entire cast to quit. Being a misunderstood genius is complicated, especially for people around.
- Sofia, who is spending a few days under the care of the Gustozzi's after an accident, discovers Chueco can speak. The family tries to deny it, but Sofia is sure of what she saw. The best option is to make her believe that she is living a strange dream. To build the illusion, Chueco and the family will wear silly costumes and act absurd parts.
- When Juan goes on a date with Sofia, Chueco -home alone with the kids- learns a leopard has escaped from the zoo and is terrified. He is convinced that the animal is out to get him and designs a plan to catch it's before too late. As the kids start disappearing one by one, he's left alone to face danger. Meanwhile, Juan tries to prove Sofia that he is an adventurous man.
- Juan invites Sofia and her mother for dinner. Chueco insists on helping him and, by accident, causes a short- circuit that makes them switch bodies. There's no time to call off the dinner and Chueco, now in Juan's body, must pretend he is Juan. The whole thing is a mess and Juan and Sofia end up breaking up. Chueco must think of a plan to get them back together.
- One morning after a strange run-in with Macarato, Chueco wakes up transformed into a caveman, and starts evolving until he becomes a modern human being. Excited about having a new identity and wanting to experience every day life, he goes out to a bar where he will bond with his unsuspecting vet, with whom he'll eventually elope.
- Chueco, who's transitioned into a human being, returns to announce he is engaged to Lola. But Lola's cousins, two dangerous motorcycle riders, have adopted him as a "pet" and "Rodolfo" calls off the wedding, taking the antidote to turn back into a chimpanzee. When the cousins arrive asking for an explanation and take Chueco hostage, Juan and Amanda will have to rescue him.
- When Juan is offered a job that implies constant traveling, Chueco has a "premonitory" dream in which the family is broken up because everybody's busy lives and they only see each other once a year. When he wakes up, Chueco will try to convince Juan not to take the new job, reminding him of all the nice moments they've spent together as a family.
