- Luke plans a night away with Maxine, but Helen is always just a thought away.
- Luke's afternoon at the beach with Maxine goes from bad to worse when, not only are his shirt and a shoe washed out to sea, but his next door neighbour sees him with Maxine.
- Luke is finding his life difficult. The women in it are putting demands on him. Maxine wants to spend more time with him, and Helen wants a baby.
- Maxine decides to end the affair with Luke. Until she's unable to get the lid off a jar of Marmalade. Helen meanwhile, starts to sense that something is wrong with Luke.
- Luke hatches a plan with Simon to enable him to win Maxine back by spending more time with her. Then is accidentally locked in Maxine's home when she is away for the night.
- Luke finally manages to arrange to spend a whole Sunday with Maxine. But will spending a whole day with Luke be everything Maxine dreams of?
- With Maxine's birthday a couple of days away, she is upset because Luke cannot be with her. He promises however to telephone her on the stroke of midnight, which he doesn't. Then to make a bad day worse, Helen visits the Maxine's shop.
- Maxine decides to end the affair with Luke and refuses to speak to him, but then Helen informs Luke that she is going to Paris for a week. Luke then needs to find a way to tell Maxine that they can spend a week together.
- On the last morning of their week together, Maxine has to rush Luke to hospital with Appendicitis. On her return from Paris, Helen confronts Luke regarding his affair.
- After Helen has walked out on him, Luke realises that his world is falling apart.
- Helen returns home and Luke admits the affair to her. Meanwhile Maxine is on the prowl for a new love interest.
- Now that the affair is over, the recriminations start. However Maxine has a far bigger problem to worry about.
