- An Arizona Ranger goes after a gang of rustlers who have kidnapped his girlfriend.
- A lumber camp melodrama: a corrupt lumber mill owner is pitted against a dashing, heroic foreman (Larkin) and a stunning, helpless heroine.
- Mounted Police Sergeant MacKenzie investigates a series of "ghost" killings in the Valley of Lost Souls near Lachine, Quebec, Canada. He meets Julie Lebeau, who has recently rejected her suitor, Jacques. Unaware that Jacques is the killer, MacKenzie accepts his offer to serve as a guide. However, when Jacques learns that Julie and MacKenzie have fallen in love, he dynamites a hut where the sergeant has taken shelter. Although MacKenzie escapes the blast, he is knocked unconscious in the ensuing fight. Jacques returns to the trading post to kidnap Julie, but MacKenzie arrives with his aide and bring Jacques to justice.
- A cowboy's pal is murdered, and he swears to find his killer. The trail takes him to the Mexican border, where he meets and falls in love with a beautiful young girl. However, the more he investigates, the more the evidence he uncovers points to the girl's father as the killer.

She doesn't take to the "pioneer" life at all, however, and a misunderstanding causes him to leave her and become a Ranger. - Silk, a former safecracker who's gone straight, is framed by Moose McKay, a wealthy society man who is actually the head of a criminal gang, and sent to jail. While there he meets and falls for Alma, a society girl who is also being pursued by McKay. When Silk gets out of jail he attempts to prove his innocence but McKay continually blocks his efforts. Eventually he is forced to join McKay's gang in order to make a living. Complications ensue.
- An agent for a stagecoach line is sent to investigate a string of stagecoach robberies. The area where the robberies is occurring also happens to be the area where his long-long mother was last reported to be.
- Texas Ranger Joe Wellard is assigned to bring in an outlaw known as Phillip Gerard, who turns out to be Joe's brother using an assumed name. Phillip is apparently killed when he falls over a cliff in a struggle with Joe. Later, Joe discovers that Texas Ranger Captain Robert Maitland is allowing Angus Bland, a notorious gang-leader, to move illegal goods across the Mexican border, because he is indebted to him for his daughter's education. Joe is in love with the daughter, Mary. Joe resigns from the Rangers and goes after Bland, who has kidnapped Mary. Along the way, he finds that his brother is still alive.
- Claim-jumpers Santag (Jim Corey) and Dick Sterling (Mack V. Wright) are after the gold mine belonging to Jack Caldwell (Franklyn Farnum), and his kid sister Helen (Doreen Turner). Complications rise higher as Dick is the brother of Jack's sweetheart, Mary Sterling (Marie Walcamp).
- A Secret Service agent chasing a man who, it turns out, is the father of his sweetheart.
- A professional fighter has done a bit too much partying and girl-chasing, so his manager takes him to an isolated ranch out west to recover and get back in shape. He winds up getting mixed up with a pretty young girl at the ranch and a cache of stolen jewels.

It turns out that the mine foreman is stealing the gold, and both he and the mining company inspector fall in love with the same girl. The foreman, however, determines that if he can't have her, no one will, and when he sees a chance to get rid of both the inspector and the girl, he goes for it.
- This story deals with a man, who causes his wife great jealousy on account of his relation to other women, yet who regards himself as a man of destiny in settling others unhappy marital relations. He is named co-respondent in a suit - leaves town - takes a house in a smaller village - picks up a little girl on the street in his car and drives into the country. She leaves his car and walks home. He meets a beautiful woman whose husband, unjustly jealous of her is hiring men to 'get something on her.' He sends for his own wife to come and frame this man. The wife, posing as an agent for beauty preparations, vamps the man and makes an appointment with him. While they are at supper his car is tampered with. He and the woman come out - he very drunk or drugged - and get into the car. There is a long struggle in which the woman is badly bruised. The man becomes unconscious and the car is wrecked. He awakens in a hut with a broken arm and is led to believe that he has killed the girl. Then a man of destiny blackmails him - gets a check for $50,000 which he gives to the injured wife and she marries the boy of whom her husband was jealous.
- Pampered Easterner Tom Ransom is sent West by his father, a meatpacking tycoon, to buy a large herd. Tom soon comes into conflict with the agents of Bennett, an unscrupulous rival, who tries to steal the herd from him. Tom eventually proves himself by outwitting Bennett.
- Girl is held at mercy of gang of crooks, her only friend being a half-wit. A murder is committed and blame shifted to the girl. The half-wit has seen it but cannot remember. When he is cured, his testimony frees the girl.
- Allen Jennings, whose father was murdered and his gold mine claim jumped, has been seeking the murderers for years. One day, a mine owner and rancher named John Sanderson hires Allen to evict neighboring ranchers Grace and Tom Henden, children of Jim Henden. Unknown to Jennings, Henden and Sanderson, whose real name is John Jasper, were once partners, and it was they who jumped Allen's father's claim. After Allen deduces the truth, Jasper kidnaps Grace and Tom, but he eventually is shot and the mine claim is reinstated to Allen.
- When a woman who belongs to a bootlegging gang asks the gang for help when her father is arrested, they refuse. She quits the gang, but the gang's leader locks her up in a brothel. She escapes and hides in the apartment of a man who turns out to be the chief of the government agents pursuing her gang. Complications ensue.
- Yaqui Dan is falsely accused of murder and driven to outlawry. Though many of Dan's operations are outside the law he performs many charitable acts for unfortunates about the country. After an eventful period he gains evidence that the murderer is still living in the vicinity of the crime and Dan comes back and proves his innocence.
- Sergeant Bob Steele (Bob Custer), of the Texas Rangers, is assigned to put an end to the lawlessness of a gang of outlaws led by a mysterious man known as 'The Black Hawk.' Hoping to infiltrate the gang, he poses as an outlaw named "Lightning" Brady.
- Harriet Lancaster is warned by her attorney against her extravagance. She is depending upon the arrival of an uncle whom she has never seen. Billy Lambert impersonates the uncle aided by the lawyer. The real uncle appears and is kept out of the way by two thugs hired by the lawyer. Harriet's father's lost fortune is found and Billy wins Harriet.
- Mortimer Grandon, clerk in a drug store, is ambitious to get into pictures. He travels to the company's location in a freight car, and is forced to change clothes with an outlaw. He blunders into the company making scenes and gets into a fist fight. He finally wins out and wins the leading lady's hand.
- The president of a railroad that is trying to build a new line in the west travels to the site to find out why construction is so far behind schedule. What he doesn't know is that his trusted assistant is being secretly paid off by a rival railroad to delay the building of the line.
- A cowboy who has been away from home for a long time returns, only to find that the area he grew up in has been taken over by a vicious gang of cattle rustlers--and that his closest friend from boyhood is one of them.
- Gambler Monte Mallory cheats John Carson out of his ranch near the Mexican border and turns it into a notorious gambling resort, known as the White Owl. Carson is devastated by his loss and commits suicide. Later, Mallory turns his attention to Marion Moore, offering to forgive the $10,000 gambling debt owed by her brother, Donald, if she will be nice to him. However, Carson's son, Dave, is in love with Marion and comes to her aid. That night, Dave recovers Donald's debt marker and joins forces with the famed bandit, Quantrell, who also has a vendetta against Mallory. The gambler dispatches his henchman, Nick Alby, to kidnap Marion, but Dave and Quantrell follow them to the White Owl. Dave defeats Mallory in a brutal fight, then rescues Marion from a fire.
- A prospector is falsely accused of killing the local sheriff. His girlfriend knows who the real killer is, but she can't turn him it--it's her father.
- When Harvey visits his girl friend, a stranger arrives who appears to have replaced him. When the stranger is accused of being a wanted outlaw, Harvey says he is the outlaw and flees. When Harvey is caught the stranger then reveals his true identity.
- Jack Burton saves Anita Leland from a runaway horse, and then saves Sam Sills from a beating at the hands of Bill Sterns. Jack goes into partnership with Sam, who is later murdered by Bill. Jack is arrested for the murder on circumstantial evidence. He escapes and finds Bill just in time to save Anita from his foul advances. Bill is arrested, while Jack and Anita anticipate a happy future together.
- Willie Steele, a wealthy young man from New York City, travels west to look after his father's ranch, which has been besieged by cattle rustlers. During his stay, the young man wears a monocle and pretends to be a weakling as a ploy to unmask the culprits. His ruse works and the outlaws are brought to justice.
- Having been robbed and mortally wounded during a blinding snow storm, Bud Allen lives long enough to give a description of his assailant to Texas Ranger Speed Meredith. Sometime later, when Speed prevents a holdup of the Goldville stage, he meets Bud's sister, Virginia, for whom he feels both sympathy and love. When Speed begins to suspect a professional gambler named Reagan of Bud's murder, he arranges for Virginia to pose as a saloon entertainer in order to help him produce evidence of the gambler's guilt. Virginia discovers Bud's money belt among Reagan's possessions, and Speed then positively identifies Reagan by stripping off the gambler's glove and disclosing the absence of a finger as described by Bud. Speed and Reagan fight, setting fire to the saloon. Reagan escapes and is torn to pieces by Bud's dog. Speed decorates the dog with a ranger badge and asks Virginia to enter into partnership with him on a permanent basis.
- Texas Ranger Tom Hardy is ordered to find Big Wolf, an important Native American leader who has been abducted by outlaw Duke Granby. Tom's assistant, Little Wolf, is wounded and taken to the Reeves ranch, where the ranger meets and falls in love with Marion Reeves. Later, Marion reveals her concern for her brother, Jack, who is involved with the Granby gang. When Tom discovers Jack in a saloon with the criminals, a fight ensues leaving one man dead, and the blame is falsely placed on Jack. He runs to Marion for help, with Tom in pursuit. Marion holds Tom at gunpoint, enabling her brother to escape. Jack takes refuge in Granby's den, unaware that Little Wolf has been following him. The boy takes Tom to the hideout, where the ranger battles Granby. One of the outlaws blows up a dam, causing a flood. After Tom pulls Granby from the water, the outlaw exonerates Jack with his dying breath. The ranger then saves Marion from the flood, permanently winning her love.
- As a result of a blow on his head, suffered when he was robbed of a shipment of platinum by a gang of bandits known as the Wolf Pack, Sheriff Larry O'Donnell loses his memory and disappears for several months. Jeff Baines, leader of the outlaw gang, uses Larry's absence to get himself elected sheriff. Larry regains his memory, secures proof of Baines' guilt as the leader of the Wolf Pack, seals the evidence into an envelope, and gives it to Madge Blake, the postmistress, to mail to the governor. Baines and his henchmen attempt to rob the mail coach to stop the latter but are captured in a trap set by Larry.
- Cyrus Braidwood has a secret. His daughter Helen isn't actually his daughter--her father is a murderer, and Braidwood has been raising her as his own because he has her father's written confession hidden. One day her father manages to get ahold of the confession. Helen shows up at his apartment looking for it, which culminates in her and a young man she meets there being taken prisoner by a criminal gang.
- A Treasury Department agent captures the head of a counterfeiting ring, and the man is sentenced to 20 years in prison. His gang later breaks him out, however, and he swears vengeance on the agent who was responsible for his imprisonment. He starts by kidnapping the agent's fiancé.
- Bill Pendleton, former rodeo champion and newly elected sheriff, is scheduled to hold an auction of the goods and chattels of Ruth Howells. J. S. Dokes, who holds her notes, is determined that his "no-account" son, Gus, will marry Ruth, but she refuses him. Dokes stages a pony express race on the day of the auction to distract potential bidders, hoping that he can buy the property at a cheaper price. Bill decides to resign his post temporarily and to enter the race. He overcomes the interference of Dokes's men, wins the race, and arrives in time to buy Ruth's pet horse, "The White Duchess." Meanwhile, Gus has abducted Ruth. Bill leaps on White Duchess and rides to the rescue.
- A cowboy has to travel to the Mexican border to help out his younger brother, who can't seem to keep out of trouble and is now in some serious trouble because of his involvement with a Mexican girl.
- "Moose" Rambo is killed by an unknown assailant during a barroom brawl, and Belleau is wrongfully accused of the crime. Sergeant McKenna of the Northwest Mounted Police is detailed to go after him, and Constable Fitzgerald, who saw Belleau on the night of the murder, is struck by the resemblance between Belleau and McKenna. Believing them to be the same man, Fitzgerald confides his suspicions to the chief and is detailed to pursue McKenna. McKenna tracks Belleau and learns that he is his own twin brother. Fitzgerald tracks McKenna, and McKenna, in order to protect his brother's wife and child, allows himself to be arrested as Belleau. Belleau's wife, who quickly sees through the deception, eventually tells the police that they are holding the wrong man. McKenna is freed and again tracks down his brother, bringing him back to stand trial. The real murderer, a half-breed, has confessed, however, and Belleau is freed. McKenna marries Marie Rambo.
