- Shemp dies but cannot get into heaven until he reforms Moe and Larry. He returns to earth as an invisible spirit and sets out to prevent the other two stooges from selling a phony invention (a fountain pen that writes under whip cream) to a rich couple. Shemp sabotages Moe and Larry's sales pitch, but it looks he's headed for the fires below anyway.
- Shemp dies but cannot get into heaven until he reforms Moe and Larry. He returns to earth as an invisible spirit and sets out to prevent the other two stooges, who are in league with the devil, from selling a phony invention (a fountain pen that writes under whip cream) to a rich couple. Shemp sabotages Moe and Larry's plans and makes it through the pearly gates.
- The stooges are living with their mother who persuades them its time to leave home and seek their fortune. After a con man sells them a phony deed to a lost gold mine, the boys head west to find the treasure. After some mishaps with Curly's gold finding invention, they locate the mine and strike it rich. When two crooked miners try to take their gold they hole up in an abandoned hotel and, although they get bombarded by dynamite, triumph over the crooks.
- The Stooges run a local drug store and are about to have their lease taken away by Amos Flint, the mean old man who owns the place. When Flint kicks his wife out for being old, The Stooges try to help her by inventing a formula that makes old people young. Their concoction turns the wife into a beautiful young woman, and Flint offers the boys their store for free if they'll transform him as well. They agree, but he turns into a five-year-old after he swallows the serum, and the boys leave on the run.
- The stooges are carpet layers working in the home of a scientist, Professor Sneed, who has invented a super rocket fuel. Larry is mistaken for the professor by foreign agents who kidnap the trio and take them to the country of Anemia where they are ordered to produce the rocket fuel or be executed. The boys come up with a concoction they try to pass of as the real stuff, but are exposed when the real professor and his daughter are also kidnapped. The stooges help them escape, using their secret formula to fuel a jeep.
- The stooges are three inventors trying to a get a patent on their preposterous fly catching invention. When they learn they'll have to catch 100,000 flies to earn enough to get a patent, some crooks overhear and think the boys are the $100,000 sweepstakes winners. When the crooks give chase, the stooges hide in a sporting goods store where Curly shoots a dummy, which they mistake for a real person. The boys decide to bury the "body" in a pet cemetery, but the cemetery owner arrives from a costume party with his partners, all dressed as spooks, and they proceed to scare the devil out of the stooges.
- A scientist invents the portable hole, only to have a thief steal his samples to go on a crime spree.

- The "Our Gang" kids are working on their vehicle for the Kidmobile Race Classic taking place this afternoon at 2:45. They are certain they will win with their invention, the supercharged rocket powered tire attachments. Their adversaries, Butch and Woim, find out their secret. Using the dogcatcher to take away their unlicensed dog, Whiskers, to the pound as a distraction, Butch and Woim are able to sabotage the Kids' vehicle. So the Kids both have to win the race with what they don't know is their now sabotaged vehicle, but also get to the pound before 3:00 when Whiskers will be taken away and put down unless he is claimed and his license paid.
- Two piano movers, a fireman and a traffic cop all drop what they're doing to join Betty Boop at the contraption-happy Grampy's eccentric party.

A man uses a rear-view mirror to guard his hat while eating, but that's not all he should have guarded. In a laboratory, we see how rabbits multiply: 2x2=4, etc. Fireflies are having a blackout. An artist uses his thumb to get the proportions correct as a model is posing. A baby chick follows along as ducks take their first swim. In the South, the traffic signs read "No U-All Turns." A baseball pitcher throws a dollar across the Potomac, but it gets only halfway; his Scotty dog explains that a dollar doesn't go as far. A fox hunt: the dogs run in circles, because the lead dog is romancing the fox. A new department store is about to be built, and it's already attracted a protestor. Finally, we see a series of battleships, all in the rain except the U.S.S. California, in bright sunshine.

- After fire chief, Fire-Eating Sam's girlfriend is married to Smoky Moe, and his house is burned down during a wedding ceremony, he gets revenge on Moe and plays a humiliating joke on him.
- Betty Boop is incensed at her farmer neighbor's cruelty to his animals. But the inventive Grampy knows how to teach him a lesson.

- Leon is a gadget inventor, but when he uses them to help his son marry the banker's daughter, the results are per Leon's usual happenings. Once everything is cleared up, Leon and the banker shake hands and are enveloped in sparks from Leon's latest invention.
- Mr. Van Dyke arrives with his son to discuss the purchase of an inventor's latest creation. While they confer, Sonny, the inventor's son, takes Van Dyke Junior to the local hop where he blatantly flirts with Sonny's girlfriend.
- In a return to the 'Out of the Inkwell' format, Betty Boop invents a 'pep' formula to speed up lazy Pudgy, but it escapes into the 'real world' with rapid results.
- Ignatz invents various methods for hurling bricks at Krazy who takes this as a term of affection. The only entry of the series to be modeled after George Herriman's original comic strip characters.
- Andy has brother-in-law and mother-in-law problems with both of them sponging off of him, and the brother-in-law makes wacky inventions which he tries to sell to Andy's boss. The police nab him for disturbing the peace, and Andy looks forward to some peace and relaxation.
- Terry invents a new formula for gasoline and shows it to his girlfriend's father.
- In this Columbia All-Star Comedy short (production number 8438), Joe DeRita is a bachelor inventor who reads a marriage proposal written on an egg by a lonely widow with one child. He accepts, and soon finds out the boy is the "bad" part of the egg in the title, as he soon destroys whatever it was that Joe had invented.
- Eddie Quillan and Wally Vernon are barbers who have invented a new, flexible steel blade. They think they have a fortune made if they can find a backer to invest some money. One day, Eddie shaves off part of a customers toupee, and he departs vowing vengeance. They go to a party honoring a rich, steel magnate, in the hopes of getting him to invest in their new razor, and he turns out to be the irate, toupee-shaved customer.
