The editor asks Duke what happened next and Duke says this is a serial and he hasn't finished the next chapter.

- A bird has been sitting on some eggs in the stump of a tree for six months, without result. It decides to strike, and flies away. A bear comes along and eats some of the eggs, but one escapes him and rolls away. Then the six-months-old egg has a series of adventures, which take it all over the place. A snake eats it, but decides to return it again to the light of day, and does so. Then it rolls into a cheese factory and beats the cheeses at their own game, The cheese maker sniffs the delightful aroma, and says that if he can locate it he will make the strongest cheese known to civilization. He does so and puts the precious object in the safe. Rats sniff it from afar and are trying to nibble their way into the safe when the whole thing explodes.

The cat cries. Along comes a dog and laughs at the cat. Then a boy ties a tin can to the dog's tail, and the cat is consoled, for it sees that tails are no good, after all.
- Bobby Bumps is getting ready for school with the help from among others his faithful dog, Fido. Bobby is the bane of his teacher's existence since he often daydreams, today about playing baseball with Fido, rather than focus on his schoolwork. Even during recess, Bobby is the cause of an incident which in turn results in the teacher having problems getting the students back into class following the recess break. But that break ends up being even longer because of Bobby and what happens with his teacher.
- Noah has completed the ark, and calls the animals to go on board. The monkey gives him lots of trouble, but the other beasts respond to the call and embark two by two. The skipper chases them all below, but the monkey won't go. They chase each other around the decks. Finally the monkey leaps ashore and Noah goes after him. Then the animal jumps back, undoes the rope which secures the ark, and it runs down the ways and into the sea. Noah realizes that it has set sail without him, and he plunges into the water and swims after it.

A weaver is seated at his historic trade. Then we see a street in Sidi-Okba, and the famous oasis of Biskra, the first of the desert cities. Dances of the natives to the music of a drum orchestra are shown. Then an Oriental caravan, and a fete day in Ouled Nails. A squad of cavalry in the picturesque Saphi rides by, and then we see a group of Nomads traveling towards the south. The gorges of El-Kantara finish the picture, which is interspersed with amusing cartoons from the clever pen of Hy Mayer.

- Cornelius worked as a theater painter at the National Theater from the age of 17. After a short stay in America, he returned to the National Theater and later worked at the Norwegian Theatre. He made Fanden i nøtten together with the advertising pioneer Eivin Ovrum and the story is based on an old Norwegian folk tale. Simple cartoons and cut-out animation are used here.

- Farm Alfalfa has a pup that causes life on the farm to be far from dull. Enjoying a quiet smoke one day the farmer lays down his pipe. The pup steals it and, taking it under the stoop, smokes to his heart's content, then retreats to the barn. The farmer takes a mallet and runs to the barn in search of his pipe. There he finds the pup chasing the ducks. In turn he chases the pup. He cannot catch him and returns to the barn. There he buys a wonderful game rooster from a neighbor. The rooster gets into a fight with the pup, which escapes the rooster's attacks for the moment. The rooster springs into the pail where the pup is hiding the moment the pup springs out. Thinking that the pup is in the pail the farmer makes a drive and kills the rooster.
- Zippy buys a hen, thinking that he will have fresh eggs every day. He does everything that he can think of, but she refuses to lay an egg. Six months later a professor sees the hen, which has grown fat under Zippy's treatment. He recognizes it as a rare specimen of an almost extinct breed. He wishes to buy it and will give $1,000. Zippy meets him and invites him to dinner. This is a fine time to get the worth of the hen, he thinks. It is killed and served for dinner. When he hears that he has lost the thousand he has a fit.
