Ace Antonio Hall was born Acemandese Nzondi Hall in Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. Nzondi (Ace Antonio Hall) is an American horror author and is the first African-American to win a Bram Stoker in a novel category for his young adult book. The Bram Stoker Award is the most prestigious award given to horror writers in the world.
Recently, Nzondi was inspired by one of the characters in his upcoming work subtitled Blood-Teens (the main title is N/A). He wrote, sung and produced an alternative rock song called "Teenage RockStarr" based on a teenage vampire singer named Elle, who is a part of a band named Toxic in his story. The song was released in July and it features the legendary hip-hop artist Fredro Starr (Onyx) and David Moreno on drums (Puddle of Mudd).

Born in 1966, Achero Mañas first followed in the steps of his mother, actress Paloma Lorena (who played in two of his films), but he soon turned from thespian to film director. He made three shorts before meeting with success - both public and critical - with Pellet (2000), the sensitive portrait of a pair of big city kids, reminiscent of François Truffaut's The 400 Blows (1959). A graduate of Hacettepe University Conservatory of Performing Arts Theatre Department, Aclan Bates later received an MA in Directing for Theatre and another in Theatre Education. He was a leading actor and director for the Turkish National Theatre in Ankara, directing Jean Paul Sartre's "Flies" and Bertolt Brecht's "The Good Person of Szechuan." After looking at the world through the lens of a camera, he decided that directing film could be far more exciting than working on the stage. To that end, Aclan came to California and completed an MFA in Film Directing at American Film Institute. He went on to win Best Short at the Ankara International Film Festival with his thesis film, "Condemned." The Turkish National Theatre then invited him to direct their entry to the Black Sea Coast International Theatre Festival. Aclan undertook the full musical production of George Orwell's "Animal Farm," receiving critical acclaim and an invitation to open the fall theatre season with the production at Ankara's Grand Theatre. His production of Kafka's "The Trial" at Write Act Repertory received rave reviews in Los Angeles, a daring and unique project. Adam Richard Sandler was born September 9, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York, to Judith (Levine), a teacher at a nursery school, and Stanley Alan Sandler, an electrical engineer. He is of Russian Jewish descent. At 17, he took his first step towards becoming a stand-up comedian when he spontaneously took the stage at a Boston comedy club. He found he was a natural comic. The late Adrienne Shelly was born in Queens, New York, to Elaine Langbaum and Sheldon Levine. Akiva Penaloza is a writer/director from Queens, New York. She attended the American Film Institute as a Screenwriting Fellow where she studied under the tutelage of Anna Thomas ("Frida," "El Norte.") At AFI, she won the coveted Target Foundation Award personally selected by Academy Award Winner Diane Keaton. In 2006, she won $10,000 in funding to direct her short film, "La Chiva," from the National Association of Latino Independent Producers. "La Chiva" went on to win Best Short at the Long Island International Film Festival and was featured on Channel 13's shorts program. She also won Best Screenplay in ScriptShark's annual contest with her feature Western, "Brazen."
