After she had finished the secondary school, she entered the hydro-meliorative institute in Kiev. Her husband perished in the first days of Great Patriotic war (during WW2) after Germany had attacked the USSR on 22nd June 1941. Gulya evacuated to Ufa and gave birth to her son. Later as a volunteer Gulya Korolyova joined the Red Army and served in the medical battalion.
On November 23th she was mortally wounded while taking the height surrounded by Gitler's soldiers in the battle near Stalingrad. That day she carried out from battlefield 50 seriously wounded soldiers and officers. And than she replaced a commander, who was killed, leading Soviet soldiers for the attack. She by first entered into enemy's trench and killed 15 enemy's officers and soldiers, keeping the position upon main troops arrived. The height was taken. Abigail's apartment was destroyed in a fire in December 1947. By that time she had a serious drinking problem and her career was in trouble. Her last film was the 1948 comedy The Fuller Brush Man. George proposed to her with a heart-shaped diamond ring but refused to set a wedding date. They continued to have an on-again/off-again relationship. Abigail started singing in nightclubs and wrote a screenplay. She suffered from severe insomnia and began taking sleeping pills at night. In 1950 she attempted suicide by slashing her wrists. She was arrested on December 12, 1954 for public intoxication and ended up her relationship soon after. On February 13, 1955, at only 33 years old, she died after overdosing on sleeping pills. She was found in her bed wearing a blue nightgown. The police ruled her death as accidental but many believe she committed suicide. In 1940 Gerard left school and his parents wanted him be a lawyer. But soon his mother noticed that he was only interested in acting, although his father was against the idea. After timely intervention from Marc Allégret, who decided he showed some promise, Gerard's debut was in Claude Dauphin's play "One plain girl". After this, Gerard decided to get into the conservatory. He was wonder even in music. He himself used to find necessary sounds - exact, unexpected, and unforeseen. All this helped him to portray amazing characters. Millions of people were inspired by him.
One day Georges Lacombe offered Philipe a part in his movie Le pays sans étoiles (1946). Critical reaction was very favourable and he became a star, taking on prominent roles in films such as L'idiot (1946), Devil in the Flesh (1947), The Charterhouse of Parma (1948), Such a Pretty Little Beach (1949), Juliette ou La clef des songes (1951), Fanfan la Tulipe (1952), Beauties of the Night (1952), The Red and the Black (1954), La meilleure part (1955) and Le joueur (1958).
