Dimitar Petrov was born on 22 October 1924 in Rila, Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. He was a director and assistant director, known for Opasen polet (1968), Taralezhite se razhdat bez bodli (1971) and Kapitanat (1963). He died on 16 October 2018 in Bulgaria.- Maria Stefanova is a Bulgarian theater and cinema actress. She was born on October 9, 1937 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. She graduated National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria. Lyubomir Sharlandzhiev was a Bulgarian film director and actor. He graduated from the Sofia Academy of Dramatic Art after studying theater direction. He was in training in Moscow in the classes of Mikhail Rom. His debut in cinema is the film A Chronicle of Sentiments (1962). The films by Lyubomir Sharlandzhiev strove to examine what goes on inside people, and to discover more than superficial glance can reveal. In Crack-up (1966), he showed a spiritual crisis of a newspaperman who had to resort to fraud to put across a beneficial project. In Prosecutor (1968), he explored the dilemma of a man who is supposed to sign a warrant for the arrest of a friend he knows to be innocent. This film was released after the fall of communist regime in November 1989. In The Odor of Almonds (1967), based on the scenario by the one of most experienced scriptwriters Pavel Vezhinov, he presented two love story of three couple, two no equilateral marital triangles. In later films, such as The Best Man I know (1973) Sharlandzhiev resorted to sheer moralizing. Nevena Kokanova was cast in her first major screen role opposite Lyubomir Sharlandziev in the 1957 film "Years of Love". Lyubomir falls in love with her at first sight, and the 19-year old, inexperienced Nevena marries her first on-screen romantic partner. He directs Nevena in a multitude of plays, first in Gabrovo, then in Ruse, all the while acting as her unofficial acting tutor, constantly honing her skill. Lyubomir Sharlandzhiev had many national prizes for his films. In 1980 he received Gran Prix of Union of Bulgarian filmmakers "Golden Camera" for his achievement in the Bulgarian film art.- Producer

Renowned Bulgarian author and screenwriter, Bachvarova is the screenwriter for some of the all-time Bulgarian hit movies and the TV series "On Every Kilometer". She has written the famous novels "Ilinden Mass," and "Target Land," which have also become the basis of two film scripts - "Measure According to Measure" and "The Lot". The writer was born on January 11 1925, in the family of leftist intellectuals, who immigrated to Austria the same year and in 1926 moved to France to be extradited later to Belgium. After Bulgaria declared amnesty in 1930 for expatriate mothers, Bachvarova and her mother returned to the homeland while the father remained in Belgium to join the Resistance and was killed in 1943. In her youth, she followed her parents' leftist ideology and was even arrested in high school. After September 9 1944, when the Communist regime was established in Bulgaria, Bachvarova enrolled in the University of Leningrad (now Sankt Petersburg). There she became first hand witness of the repressions of the Stalin regime against the country's intellectuals, and began reading Russian authors such as Sergey Bulgakov, Lev Shestov, and Nikolay Berdyaev. As she shared, this is when she started having doubts in the Marxist ideology. Bachvarova was married to Dr. Lyuben Bachvarov. She has one daughter, who is married in Brazil. In 2005, the President bestowed her highest order of Bulgaria "Stara Planina." Svoboda Bachvarova has passed away at the age of 87 in Brazil, where she lived with her daughter Elitza for the last 23 years.- Actor

Valentin Goshev was born in 1963 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. In 1998 he graduated in Film Studies and in 2001 - in Film and TV Directing from National Academy for Theathe and Film Art,Sofia. He is a director of documentaries and short films. He also took part as an actor in Bulgarian films. His best performance is in the film "Letter to America". "Lonely Hearts" (2007) is his first feature film.- Krustyo Sarafov was born on 6 April 1876 in Libyahovo, Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. He was an actor, known for Bezkrustni grobove (1931), Dezata na Balkana (1918) and Izpitanie (1942). He died on 27 August 1952 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
- Stoyan Popov was born on July 24th, 1982 in Blagoevgrad, but grew up and lived in Petrich, a smaller town in Southwestern Bulgaria. His father, Hristo, is a civil engineer, and his mother, Tzvetanka, is an early childhood educator. Stoyan has a younger sister, Nadia. In Petrich, Stoyan first attended Kocho Mavrodiev Primary School and then Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov High School.
At the age of seventeen, Stoyan moved to the United States with his family and made Chicago, Illinois his new home. Stoyan spent his senior year at Nicholas Senn High School and graduated with the class of 2001. He then attended Oakton Community College and subsequently transferred to The University of Illinois at Chicago. There, Stoyan graduated from the College of Business Administration after earning a degree of Bachelor of Science in Economics, class of 2006.
Since his college graduation, Stoyan has worked in the banking sector of the Chicago's financial industry.
In 2009, Stoyan begun pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. The first professional step he undertook in this industry was writing screenplays. Stoyan made his film debut as a screenplay writer with the short film Destiny (2010).
Stoyan's hobbies include History, primarily American and European, as well as Archeology. He also enjoys traveling. - Director

Rosen Elezov was born in 1953. He graduated in Printing and Publishing in Moscow (1978), as well as in Film Studies (1988) and Film and TV Directing (1990) from National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia. In the 1980s, worked as an expert at the Press Committee, Ministry of Culture and assistant director at Boyana Film Studios. In 1989/92, he was director at Ekran Film Studio and BNT, Nova TV and BBT.
