As a multi-talented comedian who encompasses writing, producing, directing, acting and performing stand-up comedy, Jeff Garlin has honed a successful career that started at Second City in his hometown of Chicago. Influenced by the comedians of his childhood (such as Richard Pryor, Woody Allen, and Shelley Berman), Garlin enjoys telling stories, exploring his personal foibles and exposing his innermost thoughts for all to hear. Eight-time Academy Award®-nominated, Kathleen Kennedy is one of the most successful and respected producers and executives in the film industry today. Lilan Bowden was born in Alameda County, CA. At Castro Valley High School, she got her start in theater and improv comedy and continued to pursue those interests at University of California, Irvine. After she graduated from college, she moved to Los Angeles and started taking classes and performing at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. She still performs improv and live sketch comedy, and has a comedy duo with her best friend called "Lilan and Wilder." The correct pronunciation of her name is "LEE-lon."

Ruben Santiago-Hudson recently directed the world premiere of his play Your Blues Ain't Sweet Like Mine at The Two River Theater and the world premiere of Dominique Morriseau's Paradise Blue at Williamstown Theater Festival. Other credits include The Piano Lesson (Lucille Lortel, Joseph A. Callaway, Audelco, OBIE), The Happiest Song Plays Last (Second Stage), and My Children My Africa, Seven Guitars, and The First Breeze of Summer at Signature Theater where he served as Associate Artist of the season dedicated to the Negro Ensemble Company. Regionally, Ruben has directed at A.C.T. San Francisco, The Two River Theater Company, The McCarter Theater, and The Kennedy Center. His screenplay Lackawanna Blues garnered numerous awards including The Humanitas Prize, National Board of Reviews, NAACP Image Award, and The Christopher Award, and nominations for an Emmy, Golden Globe, and WGA. As an actor Ruben has received a Tony Award, two OBIE Awards, and a Helen Hayes Award. He most recently performed in August Wilson's solo show How I Learned What I Learned. Ruben served as co-artistic director along with Stephen McKinley Henderson to record August Wilson's American Century Cycle comprised of the entire canon of his plays. Ruben holds an MFA from Wayne State University, a BA from Binghamton University, and Honorary Doctorate Degree's from both Wayne State University and Buffalo State College.

In addition to helming the iconic feature hits An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), Against All Odds (1984), Ray (2004), and the cult thriller The Devil's Advocate (1997), Taylor Hackford has directed the films Dolores Claiborne (1995), Everybody's All-American (1988), and Proof of Life (2000). Taylor developed and produced La Bamba (1987), the most successful Latin-themed feature film in history. Mr. Hackford has been an active member of the Directors Guild of America for over 40 years, including twice as elected President of the DGA, beginning in 2009.

Renée O'Connor was born in Houston, Texas, to Walter and Sandra O'Connor (now Wilson), and raised in Katy, a Houston suburb. She attended Taylor High School and the Houston High School of Visual and Performing Arts. Renée has one older brother, Chris.

Renée appeared in commercials, including one for McDonalds, a feature film called Night Game (1989), and some work for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) (aka "The Mickey Mouse Club) in 1989. She also made guest appearances on TV shows such as NYPD Blue (1993), before starring as "Deineira" in the Hercules TV movie Hercules and the Lost Kingdom (1994). Claudia Karvan is one of Australia's most recognized actresses, having achieved popular success and critical acclaim through her work in film and television.

But it was her part as Dr Alex Christensen on the popular Australian television series The Secret Life of Us (2001) that was the most significant turning point in her career. Karvan has credited this role, as well as her occasional turn in the director's chair, with allowing her to gain more control of her work - something for which she has always strived.

In 2004, Claudia began work on the highly popular Foxtel/Southern Star series, Love My Way (2004), as creator, producer and star and in 2007, she has just completed filming the show's third series. Love My Way (2004) has won the Silver Logie Award for Most Outstanding Drama Series and the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Television Drama Series for the past two years. Claudia has won the 2005 AFI Award for Best Lead Actress in Television and the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series two years running for her role in the show.

Between 1987 and 2004 Karvan was nominated for twelve more Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards, winning her category - Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Television Drama - in 1996 for her role in G.P. (1989). In 1998 she received The Palm Springs Short Film Festival Audience Favourite Award for Two Girls and a Baby (1998).

Jason James Richter is a versatile American actor, producer, and director with over three decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Originally from Medford, Oregon, Richter rose to fame as a child actor, starring in the iconic "Free Willy" franchise. His career has evolved to include a wide range of roles in film and television, as well as work behind the camera. Richter's acting portfolio spans various genres, from family-friendly films to thrillers. Devlin executive-produced five seasons of the action-packed TNT series, "Leverage," three "The Librarian" movies of the week for TNT, starring Noah Wyle, which led to four seasons of "The Librarians" series starring Wyle, Rebecca Romijn and John Larroquette. In 2005, he executive produced, along with Bryan Singer, the Emmy-winning SyFy project, "The Triangle".

Devlin directed and produced Bad Samaritan, which stars David Tennant and Robert Sheehan, and was released on 2,000 screens through Electric's distribution arm. Also, under the Electric banner, Devlin produced the upcoming full-length feature, The Deal, the dystopian drama directed by Orsi Nagypál.

Prior to forming Electric Entertainment, Devlin produced the Mel Gibson period drama, The Patriot, which was nominated for three Academy Awards® and earned Gibson a People's Choice Award for Best Actor.

Ted Sarandos is a member of Spotify's board of directors. He has been a member of the board of directors since September 13, 2016. In addition to his role on the board of directors, Mr. Sarandos serves on the board of directors of Netflix, as well as the Film Advisory Board of Directors for Tribeca Film Festival, the board of directors of American Cinematheque, and the advisory board of Film Independent. Tom Hooper was educated at one of England's most prestigious schools, Westminster. His first film, Runaway Dog, was made when he was 13 years old and shot on a Clockwork 16mm Bolex camera, using 100 feet of film. At age 18, he wrote, directed and produced the short film Painted Faces (1992), which premiered at the London Film Festival; it was released theatrically and later shown on Channel 4. He studied English at England's top university, Oxford. At Oxford University, he directed theatre productions starring his contemporaries Kate Beckinsale and Emily Mortimer, and directed his first television commercials. His father was a non-executive director at United News and Media, which owned an ITV franchise.

Hooper's father introduced him to one of British television's top directors and producers, Matthew Robinson, who gave him breaks by employing him to direct episodes of Byker Grove (1989) and EastEnders (1985), both series produced by Robinson. Hooper made the difficult transition from television to film with apparent ease, directing Michael Sheen in the Brian Clough biopic The Damned United (2009) and Colin Firth in The King's Speech (2010). Both films were critical and commercial successes, quickly establishing Hooper as one of the most in demand directors of his generation.

Hooper has garnered numerous awards in his career. He won an Academy Award for directing The King's Speech. The 2010 film was nominated for 12 Oscars, more than any other film of that year, and also won the Best Picture, Best Actor (Colin Firth), and Best Original Screenplay Oscars. The King's Speech received seven BAFTA Awards, including Best Film and Outstanding British Film. Hooper also won a Directors Guild of America Award for his direction. Among other accolades worldwide, The King's Speech additionally was honored with the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival; the Best British Film prize at the British Independent Film Awards; the Spirit Award for Best Foreign Film; the Producers Guild of America Awards' top prize; and the European Film Award for Best Film. The King's Speech earned $414 million at the worldwide box office.

Hooper was recently again a Directors Guild of America Award nominee for directing Working Title Films' Les Misérables. The 2012 film was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and won the Best Supporting Actress (Anne Hathaway), Best Sound, and Best Make-up and Hair Styling Academy Awards. Les Misérables received those same accolades at the BAFTA Awards, as well as the BAFTA for Best Production Design. Among other accolades worldwide, Les Misérables was named one of the year's 10 Best Films by the American Film Institute with an AFI Award; won three Golden Globe Awards including Best Picture [Musical/Comedy]; was voted the Best Acting by an Ensemble award by the National Board of Review; and was nominated for four Screen Actors Guild Awards. Les Misérables earned $442 million at the worldwide box office.

The Damned United received a South Bank Show Award nomination for Best British Film; and he gained acclaim for the BAFTA Award-nominated Red Dust, starring Hilary Swank and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Hooper had an unprecedented run of success at the Golden Globe Awards with his works for HBO, which won the Golden Globe for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television three years in a row. The actors and actresses starring in these productions - respectively, Elizabeth I, Longford, and John Adams - also won Golden Globes for their performances three years running.

Hooper won an Emmy Award for directing Elizabeth I. The HBO Films/Channel 4 miniseries won three Golden Globes and nine Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Miniseries.

Longford, written by Peter Morgan, starred Jim Broadbent and Samantha Morton. The HBO Films/Channel 4 Telefilm won three Golden Globe Awards and was nominated for five Emmy Awards.

John Adams (2008), starring Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney, won four Golden Globes and 13 Emmy Awards - the most Emmys ever awarded to a program in one year. Hooper, receiving his first Directors Guild of America Award nomination, directed all nine hours of the HBO Films miniseries.

Hooper was nominated for an Emmy Award for helming ITV's miniseries Prime Suspect 6. His television work also includes Daniel Deronda (2002), which won the award for Best Miniseries at the 2003 Banff Television Festival; the miniseries Love in a Cold Climate (2001), for which star Alan Bates received a BAFTA Award nomination; episodes of the multi-award-winning ITV comedy/drama Cold Feet (1997); and EastEnders (1985) one-hour specials that garnered BAFTA Awards two years in a row.

Rodger Corser is well known to Australian audiences having worked extensively in television, theatre, and film. Over recent years Rodger has been nominated for six Silver and three Gold TV WEEK Logie awards for his portrayal of Dr Hugh Knight in the Nine Network's DOCTOR DOCTOR, which ran for five seasons

Rodger's earlier television productions include his portrayal of Detective Steve Owen in the Nine Network's smash hit first season of UNDERBELLY, and the lead role of Lawson Blake in the popular Network Ten John Edwards' series RUSH which ran for four successful seasons between 2008 and 2011. During this time Rodger also starred alongside Claudia Karvan in two series of Foxtel's SPIRITED. Rodger has appeared on our television screens in two popular murder mystery series, MISS FISHERS MURDER MYSTERIES and THE DOCTOR BLAKE MYSTERIES. Rodger has also appeared in some of Australia's most iconic TV series such as STINGERS, McLEOD'S DAUGHTERS, HOME & AWAY, and WATER RATS. Rodger's first leading role in a television series was as Adam Logan in Network 7's LAST MAN STANDING in 2005.

More recently Rodger has played leading roles in numerous television productions including Network Ten's 1970s drama series PUBERTY BLUES and opposite Asher Keddie in political drama PARTY TRICKS. Rodger starred alongside Sarah Snook in the acclaimed ABC series of the modern-day retelling of Tolstoy's novel ANNA KARENINA, THE BEAUTIFUL LIE, and in three seasons of the Netflix/ABC paranormal series GLITCH as John Doe from 2015-2019

In 2007 Rodger appeared in the U.S. NBC mini-series THE STARTER WIFE alongside Debra Messing and Judy Davis. The series received 10 Emmy award nominations including Most Outstanding Mini-Series. His other U.S. television credits include the NBC series CAMP, opposite Rachel Griffiths. Rodger's film credits include roles in Jonathan Teplitsky's BURNING MAN, and Simon Wincer's THE CUP, both released in 2011.

Rodger's work in theatre includes his break-out lead role in the 1998 hit Australian season of the Broadway musical RENT. He followed this with other theatre roles in BELOW, LEADER OF THE PACK and SECRET BRIDESMAID'S BUSINESS.

Rodger has most recently been seen on our screens in the second and third series of the Paramount+ television drama FIVE BEDROOMS and has just completed filming his role as host of Network Ten's brand new reality format THE TRAITORS.

In the second half of 2022 Rodger will feature in world wide release of Netflix's six part limited series telling the story of the 2018 THAI CAVE RESCUE, playing Australian anaesthetist and Cave Diver Dr Richard "Harry" Harris.

In 1986, John Knoll joined Industrial Light & Magic as a Technical Assistant and was soon promoted to Motion Control Camera Operator for Captain EO. After three years of operating, John was called upon to work on the ground breaking digital effects for The Abyss, a film that saw the first use of Photoshop, which he had co-developed with his brother, Thomas. Since that time, John has been promoted to Visual Effects Supervisor helming the visual effects on more than twenty feature films and commercials and most recently Chief Creative Officer of the studio. His film background coupled with an advanced understanding of digital technologies has made John a much sought-after supervisor having been honored with an Oscar and a BAFTA Award for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and six additional visual effects Academy Award nominations as well as five additional BAFTA nominations.

John's supervisory credits also include the Star Wars Prequels, Episodes I, II,and III, Mission to Mars, Deep Blue Sea, Star Trek: First Contact, Mission: Impossible, Ghost Protocol and the Academy Award(TM)-winning Rango among others. Prior to his promotion to Chief Creative Officer in May of 2013 he served as the Visual Effects Supervisor on Guillermo del Toro's science fiction epic, Pacific Rim for which he received a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Achievement in Special Visual Effects. In 2017, John was nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA, and a Visual Effects Society Award for Visual Effects for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first film in the Star Wars stand-alone series and one for which John served as both an Executive Producer and Visual Effects Supervisor. The film is based on a concept John created.

John's interest in filmmaking began at an early age. Having a keen interest in visual effects, he was mesmerized by the original Star Wars film. During a visit to ILM in 1978 he was able to observe first-hand the world of visual effects. Inspired to learn more, John attended the USC School of Cinema and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Production, while freelancing as a modelmaker at a variety of Los Angeles-based production facilities.

During his last year at USC, John took an advanced animation class where he built a motion control system from an Oxberry animation stand, an Apple II computer, a CNC milling machine controller, and a bunch of industrial surplus stepper motors. Impressed by the student film that was generated from this class project, ILM hired John as a Technical Assistant for motion control photography.

Greatly impressed by visits to ILM's newly founded computer graphics department, John took up computer graphics as a hobby. Teaming up with his brother who was working on his Doctoral Thesis in computer vision at the University of Michigan, the Knoll brothers created Photoshop in 1987.

John is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and currently serves on the Board of Governors representing the Visual Effects Branch.

Norman Jewison was an award-winning, internationally acclaimed filmmaker who produced and directed some of the world's most memorable, entertaining and socially important films, exploring controversial and complicated subjects and giving them a universal accessibility. Some of his most well-known works include the pre-glasnost political satire The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming, the original The Thomas Crown Affair, the groundbreaking civil rights-era drama In the Heat of the Night (winner of five Academy Awards, including Best Picture), the first rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, the futuristic cult hit Rollerball, hit musical comedy-drama Fiddler on the Roof, the romantic comedy Moonstruck, the courtroom drama ...And Justice For All, the military drama A Soldier's Story, the labor movement picture F.I.S.T., the war dramas The Statement and In Country, and the masterfully told story of Reuben 'Hurricane' Carter, The Hurricane, among many others.

Jewison was personally nominated for four Oscars and received three Emmy Awards; his films received 46 nominations and won 12 Academy Awards. In 1999, Jewison received the prestigious Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award at the Academy Awards.

In Canada, his life's work has been recognized with the Governor General's Performing Arts Award, and he was named a Member of the Order of Canada, an Officer of the Order of Ontario and a Companion of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honour. In 2010, Jewison was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Directors Guild of America.

Jewison was committed to advancing the art of storytelling and filmmaking, both through his groundbreaking films, and through his creation of the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) in 1986, which opened its doors in Toronto in 1988. The CFC is a charitable cultural organization which drives the future of Canadian storytelling.
