He was active in radio drama, firstly as a performer but later writing a number of plays that were produced by the BBC. Although he enjoyed thrillers, he frequently ventured into other areas and his play 'Frame of Deference' was a thinly-veiled, light-hearted attack on the American Dream using the medium of Science Fiction.
