- James A. Marcus was born on 21 January 1867 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Sadie Thompson (1928), The Eagle (1925) and Oliver Twist (1922). He was married to Lillian Hathaway. He died on 15 October 1937 in Hollywood, California, USA.
- Was born and grew up in the Dobrudzha district, where he became a village teacher. Mobilized in 1912 for the Balkan war and the First World War, during which he is wounded. Moves to Sofia after the war. First stories appeared in 1917, followed by a second collection in 1918. Published his most famous book, Balkan Legends, in 1927 after a stay in Rumania. Until his death in 1937, he published more stories, a couple of novels and plays (Albena in 1930 and Boryana in 1932).

Thompson Buchanan was born on 21 June 1877 in New York, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for A Woman's Way (1916), As Good As New (1933) and All's Fair in Love (1921). He was married to Joan Lowell and Katherine Winterbotham. He died on 15 October 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
