Zhou Xun is an internationally acclaimed Chinese actress and singer.
She caught international attention through her roles in Lou Ye's Suzhou River in 2000 and Dai Sijie's film adaption of the book of same name Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress in 2002. In 2003, she starred in the television remake of Jinyong's novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes as "Huang Rong" with actor Li Yapeng. Zhou then successfully entered the Hong Kong film market in Peter Chan's Perhaps Love in 2005. This role gained her the Best Actress award in the Hong Kong Film Awards. Feihong Yu is a young Chinese actress, best known to Americans for her highlight role in "The Joy Luck Club" as "Ying Ying", the young mother who drowns her baby after being betrayed by her husband. She was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The daughter of nuclear engineers, Faye was trained from age six in Chinese Classical Dance. She enrolled in the Beijing Film Academy Acting Department in 1989. While on vacation in Shanghai from the Academy she was introduced to Wayne Wang and "The Joy Luck Club" production staff, who were on a location scout. Although they had not intended to cast anyone from mainland China, they were impressed by her talent, experience, and fresh good looks and gave her the role of the most tragic character in the film. The production brought her to the U.S. for the first time, because the role, although set in China, was shot in entirely in San Francisco. After "The Joy Luck Club" Faye appeared in the Hong Kong film "Tian Di" with star Andy Lau. She returned to Beijing at the invitation of her school to become an Assistant Professor. - Michelle Ye or Ye Xuan (born February 14, 1980) is a Chinese actress and producer. In 1999, she won the Miss Chinese International competition. Ye then signed a contract with TVB from 1999 to 2005. After she left TVB, She signed with Rich & Famous Talent Management Group Limited to pursue a movie career.
Ye is fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. She immigrated to the United States at age 10. She attended John Dewey High School where she won first place at the International Science and Engineering Fair in the Botany sector (1998). She was a scholarship student at Wellesley College, but left before graduating to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
In July 1999, Ye accepted a contract offered by TVB after winning the Miss Chinese International Pageant. She had a number of leading roles in dramas such as, Eternal Happiness, Triumph in the Skies, and Lost in the Chamber of Love. Ye has worked as a host and MC.
In 2004, she was TVB's on-site reporter at the Olympic Games in Athens. Additionally, she was the MC for a special mid-autumn evening broadcast on CCTV.
She left TVB in June 2005 and moved on to Rich & Famous one month after to get more exposure in the movie industry. Ye also starred in a few series with ATV, China Productions, and I-Cable.
Ye published an autobiography titled Shang Shan Ruo Shui - Xuan Gong Lue in July 2006.

Run Run Shaw was born in Shanghai, China on October 4, 1907. He went into the filming industry with his brother, Runme Shaw, and established the Shaw Organization in 1926 and the Shaw Studios (formerly South Seas Film studio) in 1930. In 1967, Shaw established the famous Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) station in Hong Kong, and it grew into a multi-billion dollar TV empire. TVB set the stage for numerous television sitcoms, drama series, documentaries and singing performances, as well as "Enjoy Yourself Tonight," a variety show similar to "Saturday Night Live."
Shaw owns many businesses throughout the world, including Macy's and Canada's Shaw Tower at Cathedral Place. Throughout the years, Shaw has donated billions of dollars to charities, schools and hospitals. As a result, many Hong Kong buildings were named after him.
Shaw himself has also made regular appearances in TV shows and programs from TVB, including their Chinese New Year celebration programs. During these programs, Shaw would often lead an "awakening" ceremony that precedes the famous Chinese Lion Dance. Shaw has continued to lead this tradition throughout the years.- Actor
