William Paul Nuckles was born on August 25, 1939. The son of William and Elizabeth Rainwater Nuckles, Paul was a U.S. Navy veteran and avid motorcycle enthusiast. A highly respected stuntman, actor, and second unit director, Nuckles first began performing stunts in motion pictures in the late 1960's. Paul was the stunt coordinator for the hit TV shows "CHiPs" and "Miami Vice" as well as various films that include "C.C. & Company," "Slaughter," "Gentle Savage," "Cleopatra Jones," "Policewomen," "Devil Times Five," "Race with the Devil," "The Black Gestapo," "Futureworld," "Speedtrap," "Saturday Night Fever," "When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder?," and "Places in the Heart." Moreover, Nuckles was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, the Directors Guild of America, and the Hollywood Stuntmen's Hall of Fame. Paul died at age 75 on April 10, 2015 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee following a brief illness; he's survived by his daughter Paula Nuckles Harris, half-brother Claude Robinson, and five grandchildren.- Catherine Marshall was the wife of Peter Marshall, the minister who served as Chaplain to the Senate for several years in the late 1940s. Michael McCormack arranges, performs and customizes original music for film, television, and video productions. His scoring capabilities span a variety of genres ranging from classical, romantic symphonic to modern "electronic" music.
Michael has composed, produced, designed sound and performed music for many high-profile projects, creating original music and 2 songs for the upcoming epic "Jaws" documentary "The Shark Is Still Working" featuring narration by the late Roy Scheider - a project for which McCormack is Co-Producer.
In the world of short films, McCormack has also provided original songs and scores to award-winning features like "The Agonist" and "The Tyler Mullins Story" for Agenda Films. McCormack composed the score for Erik Hollander's award-winning short,"Big Ticket" and also provided the elegant score for the award-winning film "Alius Primoris," a winning finalist in the 2008 Doorpost film project.
Additionally, Michael provided a lush-electronic dance score for "Balocity," a ballet-inspired workout DVD recently lauded by Prevention magazine as one of 2008's 10 best workout videos, featuring Deanna McBrearty of the New York City ballet, and also provided the classy opening and closing theme music for "Movie Geeks United!," a very popular movie talk show available on Blog-talk-radio and i-Tunes.
Recently, McCormack composed and recorded the music for the thriller "3 Hands" for J. Michael Roddy and Chad Raucci.
McCormack has a degree from the University of Tennessee, is a member of the Nashville Composers Association (NCA)and also studied via the Film Music Institute focusing on "The Art of Orchestration" with famed orchestrator, Steven Scott Smalley.- Born in Johnson City, Tenn., Carol graduated from Stephens College in Missouri before attending Yale Drama School in New Haven, Conn. She spent most of her life in New York city in a career that spanned many aspects of the arts from the stage to film to television and to art galleries.
She ultimately combined all of these experiences into the Craven Gallery which she founded and ran in Vineyard Haven and West Tisbury for nearly 15 years in the late 1990s and 2000s. She closed the gallery in 2011 but continued to consult for private clients.
Carol's early years in New York city in the late 1960s and 1970s were spent performing in some off Broadway work as well as in television commercials. Her last stage production was Howie and Thelma in the Woods. During that time, she also managed the Alexander Milliken Gallery as well as several other prominent galleries where her passion for art grew. In the early 1980s she and her husband, Richard (Dick) Craven were executive producers of the television game show Child's Play.
Carol and Dick moved to Martha's Vineyard permanently in the late 1990s in order to better handle his health condition related to ALS. Concurrently, she founded the Craven Gallery which became a beacon of fine art on the Island and a regular gathering spot for many over the next 15 years.
