Wolfgang Kaus was born on 23 July 1935 in Hofheim am Taunus, Hesse, Germany. He was a writer and actor, known for Alt Frankfurt (1977), Rendezvous im Palmengarten (1987) and Dinner for One auf Hessisch (2007). He died on 18 July 2018 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany.- 1982 Abitur at Taunus-Gymnasium Königstein/Taunus; 1982 to 1986 served as an officer in the German Armed Forces (Navy), first lieutenant at sea, ship security officer and technical diver (Augsburg frigate); 1986 to 1993 studied economics in Heidelberg and Cologne; thesis on regulatory aspects of the 1992 pension reform.
1992 to 1998 CDU Federal Office: Head of Social Policy Department, Office Manager of Secretary General Peter Hintze; 1999 to 2001 European Policy Officer of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group; 2001 to 2009 Head of Corporate Communications of the Vorwerk Group.
Joined the CDU in 1981; 1987 to 1989 Federal Chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS); 2003 to 2014 District Chairman of the Wuppertal CDU; 2004 to 2009 Member of the Wuppertal City Council, Chairman of the Economic Committee, Member of the Supervisory Board of Wuppertaler Stadtwerke; since November 2005 Deputy District Chairman of the Bergisch Land CDU.
