Joanna Cameron (born Patricia Kara Cameron) was an American actress and model, whose relatively brief acting career lasted from 1969 to 1980. She is primarily remembered for portraying the superheroine Isis/Andrea Thomas in the short-lived series "The Secrets of Isis" (1975-1976). Her character was depicted as a distant descendant of the Pharaoh Hatshepsut (15th century BC). An amulet that once belonged to her ancestor bestowed on Andrea elemental powers, and turned her into a representative of the goddess Isis (from which the powers derived). The series lasted for 2 seasons, and a total of 22 episodes. Cameron also portrayed Isis in three guest appearances in the superhero series "Shazam!"(1974-1976).
Cameron attended college during the late 1960s. She befriended fellow college student Linda Hope, a daughter of the comedian Bob Hope (1903-2003). Linda introduced Cameron to her father. Bob decided to cast Cameron in the role of the main character Nancy Benson in the comedy film "How to Commit Marriage" (1969). In the film, Nancy is a 19-year-old music student who is impregnated by her boyfriend. She plans to give birth and then offer the child for adoption, while her parents conspire to adopt their grandchild without informing Nancy of its fate. This film was Cameron's film debut.
Cameron was subsequently cast as a female student in the black comedy film "Pretty Maids All in a Row" (1971). In the film, high school football coach and guidance counselor Michael "Tiger" McDrew (played by Rock Hudson) systematically seduces female students, and has flings with them. The girls are unaware that Tiger is secretly a serial killer, and that he is responsible for killing several young girls. This was the only feature film scripted by the famed television writer Gene Roddenberry.
Cameron ceased making film appearances by 1971, but she had already started being cast in guest star roles in various television series. She had a recurring role as Nurse Anne MacAndrews in the medical drama "Marcus Welby, M.D.". She also depicted an unrelated one-shot character in the same series. Cameron was a relatively familiar face to television viewers by the time she gained the lead role in "The Secrets of Isis".
Following the end of her series, Cameron resumed making guest appearances in various television series. Her most notable role in this period was playing the young journalist Gale Hoffman in the first two episodes of the superhero series "The Amazing Spider-Man" (1977-1979). Her character was determined to get an interview from the mysterious Spider-Man. Gale was unaware that Spidey was her work colleague, Peter Parker. She and Peter even traveled together on an assignment by J. Jonah Jameson.
By the late 1970s, Cameron appeared regularly in television commercials. She had become the chosen model for several brands of cosmetics, shampoo, wine, beer, pantyhose, and breath freshener. At one point, she held the record for the most appearances in commercials. She had reportedly appeared in 105 commercials within a few years. Her commercials had a combined length of 150 hours.
Cameron chose to retire from acting in 1980, at the age of 32. She subsequently worked for a decade as a nurse in the home health-care industry. She retired from this role in order to work in the marketing department of the hotel industry. Her marketing career lasted for several decades.
In October 2021, Cameron died at the age of 73. Her death was caused by complications in the aftermath of a stroke. Her death was announced to the press by Joanna Pang Atkins, Cameron's former co-star in "The Secrets of Isis". They had apparently maintained contact since the series ended. Cameron's death attracted considerable press attention, though she had remained out of the spotlight for 40 years. "The Secrets of Isis" still has a cult following, and versions of Andrea Thomas have appeared in comic books by DC Comics.- Actress

While the latter was appearing in San Pedro, California, his band's name was shortened to the "Ted Mack Band" by the theatre manager who said there wasn't enough room on the marquee for all the original letters.
The only child of a railroad brakeman and a teacher, he credited his pianist mother (who died when Ted was 16) for his musical inspiration. Ted became a talent scout in 1935 for the Original Amateur Hour and first assistant to Edward Bowes who had taken it over soon after its 1934 inception. Mack took over the program when Bowes died in 1946 and began televising it over the 'DuMont Television Network'. It finally left the airwaves in 1970 after introducing about 10,000 amateurs, about half of which went on to professional careers, among them Vera-Ellen, Paul Winchell, Jerry Vale, Mimi Benzell, Pat Boone, Robert Merrill and Frank Sinatra. Neither Elvis Presley (who was auditioned in 1953) nor Tiny Tim were accepted for the broadcasts. - For MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter Shane Carwin, an athletic background has always been a constant presence throughout his life and career. As one of three sons raised by his mother, Shane graduated from two different colleges with two degrees. While attending college, Shane excelled in wrestling and also played football. In 2005, Shane Carwin began a career in the Mix Martial Arts field. He made his first UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) debut at UFC #84 held in May 2008. The event was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. He won his match against fighter Christian Wellisch in .44 seconds of the first round. He quickly established his punching power through his display against Wellisch and at UFC #89, held in Birmingham, England in a match against Neil Wain. The latter match ended with Shane's win by TKO in 1:31 of their first round. As a fighter, trained in both boxing and wrestling styles, Shane would perhaps face a more unorthodox fighting style when he faced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu artist Gabriel Gonzage at UFC #96 held in May 2009 with Shane scoring the victory by knockout in .69 seconds of the first round. Five months later, Shane scheduled for a championship contender match at UFC #104 held in October. The winner would have gotten a title shot against the champion Brock Lesnar but the UFC changed the match card and instead set Shane to fight at UFC #106 in a championship match against Lesnar himself. However the match was canceled due to illness on the part of Lesnar. A UFC Interim Heavyweight Championship bout was arranged for UFC #111 for March 2010. That match set Shane to compete against Frank Mir, another notable fighter in the MMA community. Shane overcame Mir with a victorious knockout within the first round, thus becoming the Interim Heavyweight Champion. Four months later, Brock Lesnar returned and challenged for the Heavyweight Championship at UFC #116. Shane was recognized for dominating the early portion of their match before eventually submitting to Lesnar via an Arm Triangle Hold, thus handing Shane Carwin his first loss. Around the time of his next scheduled fight to be held at UFC #125, Shane bowed out of the match-up due to neck and back pain which later led to surgery performed during November 2010. Outside of the octagon, Shane Carwin also works as an engineer, a volunteer wrestling coach for the University of Northern Colorado and trains at the Grudge Training Center in Greeley, Colorado with top MMA coach Trevor Whittman.

- Letitia had a difficult time during her adolescence; poor attitude, bad grades, fighting, drug abuse, and other risky behaviors. She found herself 18 years old, waiting tables in a Western Kentucky truck stop and realized that she hated working there. At the last minute she decided to go to college, but wanted to major in the one thing (the only thing) that she was interested in...Theater and Drama. Letitia's high school did not have any opportunities to do drama; no classes, clubs, school plays...nothing was offered. Having no frame of reference, she went to Murray State University and declared theatre as her major anyway. It saved her life. After discovering arts education and specifically theatre, her life was forever changed. Instead of getting arrested, she began to get invested. Instead of addictions, she went to auditions. Instead of being re-active, she became pro-active. School became something Letitia enjoyed, even loved. Tish began making good grades, got onto the Dean's list, and even achieved departmental awards and scholarships for her acting and activism in the theater. She eventually graduated cum lade in 1994 and because she was so passionate about theatre (and arts) education Tish decided that she wanted to help other young people like herself, who were teetering on the edge of a cliff. She decided to work to help students discover what she had discovered; a sense of belonging, a sense of being a worthwhile person with something to offer, to find a productive and healthy outlet as opposed to a destructive one. Letitia wanted to become a teacher. So she did. Although Letitia was the ONLY theatre education student at MSU while she was there, she was able to eventually obtain a degree that would enable her to teach drama and communications.
The battle to find positions teaching Letitia's first love - theater - proved to be an up-hill battle all the way. Tish doesn't fit into a box, she never have and probably never will. It has been extremely difficult finding teaching opportunities in theatre, but she has successfully continued to find a way. Although to do it she has had to make sacrifices; job security, health care, union membership, livable wages, retirement funds...etc. But, these sacrifices have been made because Letitia Usher believes that what she does and what she has to offer young people is important. Drama helps young people develop empathy, it helps to build relationships with parents and communities, and drama nurtures the thought "I Can". Letitia is an Education Associate, Teaching Artist, Actress and Master Storyteller. She designs curriculum, leads workshops, teaches in-school and after school residencies, and coordinates storytelling programs and projects. Letitia is a certified teacher, with a Masters degree in Counseling, who has also worked as a stage carpenter, stage/tour manager, scenic painter, and chauffeur just to name a few of the numerous positions she has had. She continues to audition and find ways to perform as often as she can, and although Letitia enjoys film work her true passion lies with the stage and performing for live audiences.
