Anya-Josephine Marie Taylor-Joy (born April 16, 1996) is a British-American actress. She is best known for her roles as Beth Harmon in The Queen's Gambit (2020), Thomasin in the period horror film The Witch (2015), as Casey Cooke in the horror-thriller Split (2016), and as Lily in the black comedy thriller Thoroughbreds (2017). She has been the recipient of the Cannes Film Festival's Trophée Chopard and was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
Anya was born in Miami, the youngest of six children. Her father is Scottish who was born in South America, and her mother is Spanish-English who was born in Zambia in Africa, to an English diplomat father and a Spanish mother from Barcelona. Anya lived her childhood between Argentina and England. Her father was a banker and a powerboat racer, and her mother is a psychologist. Anya was raised in Argentina until the age of six, then moved to London, where the family lived in Victoria. She attended Northlands School in Buenos Aires, then preparatory school Hill House and Queen's Gate School in London, and is also a former ballet dancer. Anya's dream of becoming an actress came when she was very young and it finally became possible when she was offered a modeling job. It wasn't long until Taylor-Joy received her first part in the Show Business. When she was fourteen, she used her savings to move to New York, and at 16, she left school to pursue acting.
Anya's outstanding performance as Thomasin in Robert Eggers' period horror film The Witch (2015), and the positive reviews it got at the Sundance festival revealed her incredible potential to the world; it was widely released and viewed in 2016. She then starred as the title character in the thriller Morgan (2016), directed Luke Scott and also starring Kate Mara. She also starred in Vikram Gandhi's film Barry, which focused on a young Barack Obama in 1981 New York City. Taylor-Joy played one of Obama's close friends. In 2017, she headlined M. Night Shyamalan's horror-thriller film Split (2016), playing Casey Cooke, a girl abducted by a mysterious man with split personalities. In 2019, she reprised her role as Casey in the film Glass. Anya was also the lead actress in the music video for Skrillex's remix of GTA's song Red Lips. She was nominated for the 2017 BAFTA Rising Star Award.
Taylor-Joy is attached to star in Nosferatu, a remake of the film of the same name, to be directed by Eggers in her third collaboration with him. Owen was born on December 15, 1997 in Miami, Florida, to an American mother and a New Zealand father. Her mother is of Cuban descent. Owen moved to New Zealand at age four, settling in Pauatahanui, a village 30 km (19 mi) north of the capital city Wellington.
Owen lives between New York City and Wellington. She attended Pauatahanui school, where she won the cup for performing arts, and which helped begin her career in acting. Upcoming, Bennett will star opposite Austin Stowell in Carlo Mirabella-Davis's SWALLOW, on which she also serves as an executive producer. Bennett plays 'Hunter,' a pregnant, young housewife, whose seemingly perfect existence takes an alarming turn when she begins compulsively and uncontrollably eating dangerous objects. The film made its world premiere at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, garnering massive critical acclaim, including Bennett's award for Best Actress. The film later appeared at the 2019 Deauville Film Festival, where it was awarded the Prix spécial du 45E and nominated for the Grand Special Prize. IFC Films is set to release the film in March 2020.
Following, Bennett will be seen in Ron Howard's HILLBILLY ELEGY for Netflix. Amy Adams and Glenn Close co-star in the film. Based on J.D. Vance's bestselling memoir that follows three generations of an Appalachian family as told by its youngest member, a Yale law student is forced to return to his hometown. Bennett will also star in Antonio Campos's Netflix thriller THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME alongside Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgard, and Jason Clarke. Set in rural southern Ohio and West Virginia, the film follows a cast of compelling and bizarre characters from the end of World War II to the 1960s. Both films are set for release in 2020.

She became notable as an actress after her performance in Joe Swanberg's Alexander The Last, a Noah Baumbach produced film which premiered at SXSW. Actress, writer, and producer on both the big and small screen, Abigail Spencer is quickly making a name for herself in Hollywood.
Spencer was seen in Sam Raimi's Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), a prequel take on The Wizard of Oz (1939), alongside James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams.
She has starred in the Sundance Channel's first scripted series, Rectify (2013). The series follows "Daniel Holden" (played by Aden Young), who must put his life back together, after serving 19 years on Georgia's Death Row before DNA evidence calls his conviction into question.
Spencer also was on the indie, Kilimanjaro (2013), opposite Brian Geraghty, and reprising her role of "Annie" for the online series, "Burning Love" on YouTube, which got picked up for a second and third season. The series, produced by Red Hour, is a funny parody of a "Bachelor"-esque show. She also reprised her role on the USA hit show, Suits (2011), and was seen in the season of Childrens Hospital (2008) for Adult Swim.
Abigail was the lead in Daniela Amavia's cinematic piece A Beautiful Now (2015), produced by Keith Kjarval/Unified Pictures.
As a screenwriter and producer, Spencer is in development on Wrong Number, with James Franco producing through his "Rabbit Bandini Productions" banner. Spencer will also star in the indie romantic comedy directed by AnnaRose King. Eva de la Caridad Méndez was born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents Eva Pérez Suárez and Juan Carlos Méndez, and was raised by her mother in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silver Lake after her parents' divorce. Mendes grew up a Roman Catholic and at one time even considered becoming a Catholic nun. Her mother worked at Mann's Chinese Theatre and later for an aerospace company, and her father ran a meat distribution business. On the big screen, Kebbel played Gia Matteo in the final installment of the Fifty Shades of Grey saga, Fifty Shades Freed, which premiered in February 2018 breaking box office records.
On the small screen, Kebbel starred opposite Dwayne Johnson on HBO's hit series, "Ballers," which focuses on a group of young athletes working on making a name for themselves with the misguided advice of their agents and financial advisors. Kebbel caught the attention of critics and audiences alike in her scene stealing turn as the villainous Britney in Lifetime's critically acclaimed series, "UnREAL", a performance which Entertainment Weekly sited as one of the "Best of 2015".
Kebbel is perhaps most familiar to television audiences from her role on the CW's "The Vampire Diaries" in which she played the charismatic and wise beyond her 300 years, Lexi Branson. In addition to her role on the hit show, Kebbel hosted the CW's "The Vampire Diaries: Rehash," an interactive weekly recap of the show.

Sarah Paulson was born on December 17, 1974 in Tampa, Florida, to Catharine Gordon (Dolcater) and Douglas Lyle Paulson II. Natalie Morales was born in Miami, Florida, and is of Cuban descent. She studied Theatre at Miami Dade College and Florida International University.
