    • 4. Veronique Breugelmans

      • Actress
      Binnelanders (2023– )
Veronique Breugelmans was born in Diest (Belgium) to designer, pattern engineer and dress-maker Mum, Lea Denies and, electrical engineer Daddy, Jean-Pierre Breugelmans. She spent the first 7,5 years of her life in Belgium until they immigrated to South Africa. Johannesburg became her base and ignited the passion she was to develop for people and the arts. Thrown into diversity she had not known before, cultural differences and a melting pot of contrast triggered a curiosity and intrigue that was to stay with her for life. She always wanted to understand what made people do what they do, and creative expression and the study of the mind, satisfied this desire.

She earned a bachelor university degree in Psychology, Industrial Psychology and Communications from Unisa. And has attended advanced acting school at the Indigo Academy in South Africa. In her younger years, she had trained with Nadia Bilchik from CNN who referred to her as "Nadia's most beautiful student".

Today, when she's not in front of the camera, she spends her time inspiring the world around her with coaching, motivational talks and social responsibility work.

She hopes to secure acting opportunities in which she can play more eccentric, quirky or outlandish characters. The idea of stepping into the shoes of someone who society cast out or didn't understand, absolutely thrills her. What better way to figure out the human psyche then to step into the character or life of the very person that fascinates you?
