      Daz Byard is an Australian actor best known for the role of Max in the award-winning short film We Sit. We Drink. No Guns. (2015), for which his performance garnered critical praise as "outstanding", and for the role of Henri in Midnight Scorpion (2012) opposite Academy Award-nominee Sally Kirkland. He has also appeared in the award-winning short films Intrepid (2017) and Forgetting Regret (2012) and, most recently, in the lead role of Casey, an astrophysicist, in the film Signal, and in the co-starring role of Peter Finkle in Investigation Discovery's Twisted Sisters (2018).

      Born and raised in Devonport, Tasmania, he relocated to Los Angeles in 2009, where he trained with notable schools and coaches, including The Acting Center, IO West, Joseph J. Pearlman, and David Dean Bottrell. He currently trains with Gregory Apps. His extensive stunt experience in motorcycle riding, firearms shooting, and stage combat has seen him often cast in villainous action roles, in addition to stand-out comedic roles, in numerous films, television series, and commercials.

      He is an expert motorcycle rider, both on- and off-road, and enjoys riding canyon and mountain roads throughout California. He previously worked as a BMW motorcycle academy trainer and instructor and is a self-described "mechanical MacGyver". He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Shylo and their two rescue dogs.
