Academically, she directed the short film "For Five Minutes It Was Impossible to Breathe", adaptation of a Stephen King horror story and produced "Uma Questao de Sangue", a black comedy showcased at the Fantasporto Film Festival.

      "The Bride" was her first work as a director in an independent project. The film went to to play in over 30 film festivals all over the world. She has worked extensively as a film and television producer and editor.
