John Lurie is a musician, actor, and painter. In 1978, he formed The Lounge Lizards jazz ensemble with his brother Evan, and the band made music for 20 years. Lurie has also composed scores for films, and his soundtrack for Get Shorty (1995) was nominated for a Grammy award. He had starring roles in the 1980s Jim Jarmusch films Stranger Than Paradise (1984) and Down by Law (1986). In the early 1990s, Lurie wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the TV series Fishing with John (1991). Shortly afterward, he began suffering from Lyme disease. He has shifted his focus to painting, and his artwork has been shown in galleries and museums worldwide.- McKayla Maroney was born and raised in California. The daughter of Mike and Erin Maroney, she was home-schooled so that she could train as an elite gymnast. She started her senior career in 2011 at the age of 15. At that year's world championships, Maroney won gold medals in the team and vault competitions. She was then named to the 2012 U.S. Olympic team and helped the Americans win the team gold medal. In the vault competition, she won the silver medal, and her look of disappointment while standing on the podium was photographed and became an Internet meme. Maroney made her acting debut in the series Hart of Dixie (2011) later in 2012.

Barbara Dunkelman grew up in Canada. She became a fan of Rooster Teeth as a teenager and was active in their online community. After Dunkelman graduated from Concordia University in 2011, she moved to Texas and started working for Rooster Teeth as their first community manager. Aly Raisman, the daughter of Lynn and Rick Raisman, was born in Needham, Massachusetts, and graduated from Needham High School. She began taking gymnastics at the age of two. Raisman started her senior career in 2010, and that season, she helped the U.S. national team finish second at the World Championships. At the following year's Worlds, she helped the Americans finish first in the team competition and also finished third individually in the floor exercise event. Raisman was the women's national team captain at the 2012 Summer Olympics and led the U.S. to the team gold medal. She then won the bronze medal on balance beam and the gold medal on floor exercise. Thilakan (born Surendranatha Thilakan) was a Malayalam film actor. Widely considered one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema, he was stubborn, uncompromising and very critical of the way lead actors worked in comparison to character actors. In a span of around 40 years, Thilakan handled a huge variety of roles, including negative portrayals. He is especially well known for his on screen father roles opposite Mohanlal, in movies like "Spadikam" (1995) and "Kireedam" (1989).- An actress from Taiwan, Shiang-chyi Chen was discovered by director Edward Yang while she was taking an acting class. She appeared in two of Yang's films, including A Confucian Confusion (1994). She then studied performing arts at New York University. Afterwards, Chen resumed her career in Taiwan, and she is best-known for her work with director Tsai Ming-liang over the next decade. Chen had starring roles in several of Tsai's films, including What Time Is It There? (2001), Goodbye, Dragon Inn (2003), The Wayward Cloud (2005), and I Don't Want to Sleep Alone (2006). Chen won the Best Actress Golden Horse Award for her performance in Exit (2014). She is an assistant professor of theatre at the Taipei National University of the Arts.

On August 14, 1984, Alex Mathias Retamal Soto was born in Santiago, Chile. In 1989, his family emigrated from Santiago, Chile to Montreal, Canada for a better future, a fresh start. He grew up in a multi-lingual household, speaking Spanish and French. He grew up watching classics such as Scarface, Blood In, Blood Out, Casino and Carlito's Way. It was these movies that inspired and shaped him as an actor today, but it was just a matter of time before his life took a dark turn of events, mirroring those in his favorite films.
In 2008, Mathias was determined to change his life. He studied Media Technology for Film and Television Production Sets at Collège O'Sullivan de Montréal and worked as a freelance behind the camera.
The year 2011 marked his move to Vancouver, B.C.. Armed with an ambitious goal, he attended then graduated from Vancouver Acting School in 2012.
