Adrien Nicholas Brody was born in Woodhaven, Queens, New York, the only child of retired history professor Elliot Brody and Hungarian-born photographer Sylvia Plachy. He accompanied his mother on assignments for the Village Voice, and credits her with making him feel comfortable in front of the camera. Adrien attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York.
Despite a strong performance in The Thin Red Line (1998), time constraints forced the director to edit out much of Adrien's part. In spite of his later work with Spike Lee and Barry Levinson, he never became the star many expected he would become until Roman Polanski called on him to play a celebrated Jewish pianist in Nazi-occupied Warsaw. He pulled off a brilliant performance in The Pianist (2002), drawing on the heritage and rare dialect of his Polish-born grandmother, as well as his father, who lost family members during the Holocaust, and his mother, who fled Communist Hungary as a child during the 1956 uprising against the Soviet Union.- Actress

Perhaps best remembered today for the '60s sitcom Petticoat Junction (1963), Rufe Davis had a long and varied career in show business, winding from an Oklahoma farm to the bright lights of New York and ultimately to Hollywood, including stops around the world.
Rufus Eldon Davidson was born in Vinson, Oklahoma on December 2, 1908, one of twelve children. He began imitating animal sounds at a young age and proved himself to be a natural mimic. Although he was a fullback on the Mangum High football team, Rufus was more interested in practicing his imitations than schoolwork or sports and he dropped out in the tenth grade. Mimicry would become his trademark; he later claimed to be able to imitate over 200 different sounds, though he regretted that he never mastered the sound of a piano. As an adult, he carried a tape recorder with him so that he could record various noises and perfect his repertoire.
After teaching himself some basic guitar chords, he won $5 in a local talent contest. Inspired by the possibility of life as a performer rather than a cotton farmer, he left home to try his hand at show business. Initially compelled to pick up farm work in Kansas, he continued to perform at every chance until he impressed the manager of a tent show and earned himself a $15 a-week-gig (roughly $280 today.) Adopting the stage name Rufe Davis, he toured with such vaudeville groups as Weaver Brothers and Elviry and The Radio Rubes and eventually landed in New York, performing with Xavier Cugat, and at numerous theatres and nightclubs. In the 1930s, he was active on the famed radio broadcast National Barn Dance, where his fellow players included future Petticoat Junction (1963) colleagues Smiley Burnette, Pat Buttram, and Curt Massey.
He made his big-screen debut in the Warner Brothers' short The City's Slicker (1936), playing a hillbilly mimic pursuing stardom in the big city. Paramount signed him to a film contract in 1937 after one of their talent scouts caught his performance in New York's aptly-named Hollywood Restaurant. Following eight films in three years for Paramount, Rufe signed with Republic in 1940 and was immediately cast in their "Three Mesquiteers" series as Lullaby Joslin, a role he would play for a total of fourteen films.
It was during a USO tour of the South Pacific after WWII that he first met Gene Autry, who invited him to appear in his touring company and The Strawberry Roan (1948). He recorded several songs during this time, the most well-known being "The Sow Song," "I'm The Sound Effects Man," and "Mama Don't Allow It." While Rufe continued to make films throughout the 1940s, his stock-in-trade remained the live show. He made repeated tours with the Autry group (which often included Burnette and Buttram) in addition to his individual performances, which blended music, imitations and down-home country humor. That solo work sustained him for over a decade as he criss-crossed the country maintaining an ambitious schedule; he estimated that in 1962, he put over 75,000 miles on his car, in addition to his considerable rail and bus travel.
Reunited again with old pal Smiley Burnette on Petticoat Junction in 1963, Rufe provided comic relief as Floyd Smoot, fireman and conductor of the Hooterville Cannonball. Occasionally the show would display Rufe's mimicry and musical skills. Smiley penned the song "Steam, Cinders, and Smoke," which the duo performed on the show and released as a single in 1964. Rufe and Smiley spent much of their time off from the show traveling the country, entertaining audiences as their Hooterville characters - and fishing as time allowed. In 1966, the two even became neighbors when Rufe took the apartment next door to Smiley, in a building within walking distance to the studio. Their personal and professional collaboration continued right up until Smiley's death in 1967, one day before the pair was scheduled to perform at LA's Shrine Auditorium.
Rufe left Petticoat Junction the following year when producers refused his request for a guaranteed number of episodes, though he did return to the show twice in 1970. In his final appearance, Last Train to Pixley (1970), he sang a shortened version of "Steam, Cinders, and Smoke," perhaps a bittersweet tribute to his late friend. Off-screen he kept up a steady touring schedule, with a particular fondness for country fairs and children's hospitals.
Married to former ballerina Hermoine Hawkinson from 1940 to 1956, Rufe was the father of four children: Susan, James, Richard, and Vivian. In 1969, he married Nettie Jane Scott Nettie Scott, the wardrobe mistress on Petticoat Junction. The couple soon embarked on a cross-country trip in their camper so that Rufe could continue his personal appearances. He suffered a heart attack in the fall of 1974 and later underwent open-heart surgery. Rufus Davidson died on December 13, 1974, eleven days after his sixty-sixth birthday. He is interred at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, where Nettie joined him in 1999.- Producer

From Down and Out in Beverly Hills to his Bio Single Person Show, "What are The Odds?", Joseph Makkar continues to see the value of story telling. Joseph received a scholarship to acting school at the ripe age of ten, and he continued on to perform in the theatre as well as in films. Joseph's education was sponsored by the three prolific aerospace and research firms (McDonald Douglas, Howard Hughes and TRW) from grade school to his freshman year in high school until he was advised by his high school teacher that he might be a good fit for The Los Angeles County High School Of the Arts (LACHSA).
He received coaching from his mentor Chip Fields and auditioned for LACHSA and was accepted. After Graduating from LACHSA's rigorous theatre department, Joseph shifted gears again to support his love for animals, by continuing his education to consult for and staff veterinary hospitals. (Veterinary Staff Unlimited, located in Los Angeles is one of the largest veterinary-specific staffing and consulting firms in the country).
Joseph completed his undergraduate degree in management and MBA degree from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business.
His love for the arts and his desire to leave the world a better place is only topped by his love for family. Joseph has been married for over 20 years and has 3 beautiful daughters.- Lindsey Rae Hawkes was born in Virginia in 1986 to a military family. She spent many years in the South and loves occasionally using her Southern charm and accent when filming. Her family moved frequently and eventually settled in Utah, where Lindsey now resides with her husband and 3 kids.
As a child Lindsey learned hard work. Her parents invested in real estate to support their military income. At 13 years old Lindsey was strong enough to handle all the power tools and worked alongside her older brothers remodeling dozens of homes; she could roof a house and tile a shower. She also picked up the business end of things, doing the bookkeeping and property management. To this day Lindsey still manages 2 of her family's rentals and an Airbnb.
Lindsey is a thrill seeker and travel addict. She loves skydiving and dreams of scuba diving. She has snorkeled at Cano Island Costa Rica, the Florida Keys, Hawaii, and the Bahamas. Her dream is to travel the world. Next on her list of places to visit is Switzerland. Lindsey enjoys the great outdoors. She is constantly hiking, camping, kayaking, and in the winter loves skiing. She craves adventure, and no one is surprised when she takes off on random road trips and sleeps at the beach.
Lindsey is an advocate for building awareness of invisible illnesses. She has suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis since a teen but has learned to live with her chronic disease and does not let it hold her back or effect her work. She is a proponent of normalizing mental health treatment and conversation.
In 2007 Lindsey graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Marketing and Public Relations, which has served her well. She worked for the Army ROTC before settling into full-time Mom mode. Lindsey loves working and can't sit still for long, so even while raising her young kids she found things to do. She has been a photographer, Pilates instructor, event planner, owned a furniture consignment business, and more. When her youngest approached kindergarten Lindsey considered what to do next and pursued work in the film industry.
Lindsey has always been a creative. She joined every art club from elementary school to high school. Even in college every elective was theater, ceramics, or photography. She started taking photos at 9-years old with her dad's film camera and got her first digital camera and photoshop program at 11. In high school Lindsey learned dark room developing and won awards at school competitions. She was constantly making her friends and sisters model in front of her camera. She used the family video recorder to edit her own talk shows and beauty pageants. At every family gathering Lindsey orchestrated plays and performances. She has a knack for organizing and directing the efforts of others, and hopes to one day direct a play or film. She did theater through school, but hasn't been in a play since. Now she helps her kids audition for their school programs and would like to be on stage with them one day. Occasionally you'll see her husband and kids join her in a commercial.
Even with her passion for art, Lindsey never imagined herself as a working actress or model. When she started doing extra work, it was out of curiosity. But Lindsey became absorbed in it and in the people. There was so much to learn from being on set, and the energy was invigorating. Slowly it turned from a hobby to a career. Lindsey signed with an agent and started to audition for bigger roles. She soon landed a part in Yellowstone, which resulted in her current hairstyle and a new diverse brand. She loves the versatility she has with short hair. She is able to play many characters and is used to filming and modeling in wigs, or even bald caps and special effects. She would love to one day work on a period piece.
Lindsey realized she enjoyed modeling after her first headshot session and began pursuing opportunities in that direction as well. Lindsey is now recognized in the Utah industry as a modeling coach, mentor, and creative director. She has organized dozens of photoshoots, workshops, and events. She has taught several modeling classes at Utah talent agencies, as well as Social Media & Marketing, and Self Tape Auditioning classes. She has been published in over a dozen magazines and worked for many brands. - Judith Hawking received her B.F.A. in Acting from the University of Alberta and her M.F.A. in Acting from The California Institute of the Arts where, upon graduation, she won the Notional Best Actress Award at The Irene Ryans. She has gone on to be seen on Broadway, and Off, in productions ranging from "Ivanov" (Drama Desk Nominated) to "The Invested" where her performance was declared "flamboyant" and "mind blowing".
