Destined to become a person who does not have an average job. A very awesome person who is well rounded and good at everything. will do anything for friends. Ankit is a fun energetic guy. He has a compelling personality. He is fun and playful but has a serious side. Ankit is handsome. He knows it, but he is always flattered when someone notices.- Believe it or not, this tall, muscular, forever smiling lad from Chandigarh, at a camp for emerging Indian cricketers, was denied extra food during lunch. When asked by the camp authorities why he requested for more than the standard quota, he stated that being a fast bowler he needs to eat more to maintain stamina. The camp burst into laughter, with the response from the coaches being "We don't produce fast-bowlers in India". Rest as the cliche goes is history.
Starting from his debut in 1978, where he delivered a bouncer to arch-rivals Pakistan's opening batsmen, till his retirement in 1994, Kapil Dev sent back several of cricket history's best batsmen against pace bowling back to the pavilion, even on the unhelpful wickets of his home country, displaying his ability to think players out with a combination of consistent line and length as well as swinging the ball both inside and outside of the wicket. This formed the core of his outstanding tally of 434 test and 253 ODI scalps, both stats being world records at the time of him bowing out.
And if the bowling alone wasn't enough, his batting displays became box-office attractions the world over, particularly against the best bowling attacks of his generation. Although always criticized for just enjoying batting in a destructive mode rather than being an accumulator like his cross border rival Imran Khan, he did more than enough to reach over 5000 runs with 8 centuries, 3 of which came outside the subcontinent. And his only ODI ton may very well arguably be the greatest innings in the history of the format, with his 175* against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup won the match, saved India from crashing out of the Group Stages unlike the previous two editions and above all India beat the mighty West Indies to clinch their first ever ICC tournament. An icing on the cake, Kapil happened to be the captain of this side which pulled off the impossible, his contributions being in both batting and bowling as well as fielding, as evidenced during the finals by his backwards running catch to dismiss Sir Viv Richards and the blinder to get rid of West Indian captain Clive Lloyd.
His tenure as a coach of the national team, however, was mediocre to say the least and allegations of match-fixing were raised against him by former teammate Manoj Prabhakar, forcing him to disappear from public life for a while. Cleared of all charges after thorough investigation, Kapil returned to public eye and in 2002 was voted by Wisden as India's "Cricketer Of The 20th Century" ahead of long time teammate Sunil Gavaskar and crowd favorite Sachin Tendulkar, the honor presented to him by his friend and batting legend Sir Vivian Richards.
Today, Kapil Dev continues to remain a revered figure in the international cricket community, with his name always popping up whenever someone thinks of the term "all-rounder" and is unsurprisingly a prominent guest lecturer on leadership and team management at events held on several prominent university and college campuses in India.

He serves as a partner at Roop Productions and Entertainment. He has co-produced films like Abaykto, Guldasta and many more. Roop Production and Entertainment is known for making socially relevant movies and has bagged a number of appreciation from the industry.- In the game of cricket, some judge batsmen by the number of runs they make while some are judged based on the manner and in the circumstances they are made. By either criteria, with both formats in mind, Rahul Sharad Dravid is unarguably one of the greatest of all-time.
The son of a food scientist and a professor of architecture, Dravid represented the state of Karnataka in the Indian Domestic Circuit. With years of consistent performances, he finally made it to the 1996 Indian touring party for England. When told by coach Sandeep Patil that he would finally get to bat at Lord's, his face just lit up. Joining fellow debutante and future skipper Saurav Ganguly, Dravid made highly polished, textbook strokes before unfortunately falling for 95. During the following years, Dravid maintained high levels of his trademark consistency but wasn't able to convert fifties into centuries. This dilemma came to an end at Johannesburg, when against pace legend Allan Donald at his peak, he registered scores of 148 and 81. From there on, there was no looking back. And entering into the 21st century, Dravid became the centrefold of India's batting line-up, with India finally starting to win tests overseas, Dravid trailing only Sachin Tendulkar for the title of India's greatest batsman ever.
But like all greats, Dravid too lost form in the middle years starting from India's disastrous exit from the 2007 World Cup. Working hard to remodel his technique, Dravid finally found his touch on India's otherwise disastrous tour of England in 2011 where despite his 3 centuries, India was whitewashed 4-0. And after an individual poor showing in another 4-0 series whitewash, this time in Australia, Dravid, knowing fully both cricket viewers and critics will come for his blood, announced his retirement from international cricket.
"The Wall", as he is fondly called by the global cricket community, continues to contribute to India as one of the guiding lights to youngsters, nurturing their skills before they become the mainstray of the National team.
One of the nicest men to ever grace the sport, Dravid has unquestionably carved his name as one of the greatest of all-time. - Editorial Department

- In a nutshell, Allan Robert Border epitomized the "never say die" Australian cricketing spirit better than anyone known to the game. Inducted into the national team during the 1978 home Ashes series at the height of the fiasco surrounding World Series Cricket, Border set his credentials in the first year of his career itself scoring 60 and 45 in just his second test on a turning Sydney wicket, his maiden test hundred chasing a fourth innings target of 380 against the monstrous reverse swing of Pakistan's Sarfraz Nawaz at the MCG followed by accumulating over 500 runs on a tough tour of India. Bearing in mind these inputs, it was unsurprising Border was one of the fortunate few to retain their place in regular squad once the rebels from the WSC returned to the fold. What was surprising though that Border emerged as the fulcrum of Australia's middle order in demanding situations ahead of his own idol Greg Chappell, as exemplified by his knocks in an otherwise disastrous "Botham's Ashes" and being the top scorer of the Frank Worrell Trophy at home. However, things were about to change for both worse but later good, altering the course of Australia's cricketing history once and for all post the retirements of it's most dominant superstars Dennis Lillee, the then world record holder for most test wickets, Greg Chappell, Australia's highest run scorer in either formats till then and wicketkeeper Rodney Marsh, world record holder for most dismissals effected by a gloveman.
Deputised for his former skipper Kim Hughes for a team in complete disarray and lacking any experience, the 1984 tour of the Caribbean bought further misery as failure to evade defeat at the hands of the world champions led to Hughes tearfully resigning on live TV and Border reluctantly taking on the role of the helmsman. It was at this stage Border produced his greatest ever innings, unbeaten knocks of 98 and 100 on a green Trinidad wicket under glooming light against the juggernaut of Joel Garner and Malcolm Marshall, snatching a miraculous draw in the face of certain defeat.
The following couple of years went with the same pattern with Border continuing to remain the world's best batsman but his team refusing to follow his lead. Faced with Border's threats of resigning from the captaincy if performances by the rest didn't improve, the ACB appointed veteran batsman Bob Simpson as Australia's first professional coach. From there on, there was no looking back. Coupled with Simpson's guidance and Border's lead by example attitude, Australians won the 1987 World Cup, retained the Ashes both at home and overseas by margins which held no argument, won series' against India and Pakistan and best of all, came within a run of accomplishing the impossible till Courtney Walsh's dismissal of Craig McDermott crushed Border's hopes of securing a 2-0 series lead during the '92-93 Frank Worrell Trophy. It was however during this closely fought battle that Border became only second batsman in cricket history after his Indian rival and good friend Sunil Gavaskar to score over 10000 test runs.
Border retired the following year with a host of records on his shelf, prominent amongst them being his final tally of 11174 runs in 156 tests at a champion's average of more than 50, a world record which stood for over a decade. Most of them might have been surpassed, but never have exactly been bettered.
Starting from 1998, the ACB recognised the best performing annual cricketer of the year with the Allan Border Medal, proving that despite the advent of Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden, Steve Waugh and Adam Gilchrist amongst others, Border continues to remain arguably the most eminent Australian cricketer post World War 2. After all, some borders can or should never be crossed. - Although the West Indies was the dominant superpower of cricket throughout the 1980s, a tall Antiguan aspired to play in NBA in the United States. But his mother motivated him towards cricket and most importantly, towards fast bowling. What was NBA's loss became cricket's greatest boon and Curtly Ambrose stepped on the field, displaying his near prodigious talent right from his first delivery at international level. Initially seen as a natural successor to the outgoing great Joel "Big Bird" Garner, Ambrose forged a legacy of his own, with match winning performances one after the other as witnessed at Perth in 1992-93 where his spell read 7 wickets for just 1 run in a mere 5 overs, his fifer at Bridgetown which denied a strong, recently reinstated South Africa a victory and of course his figures of 6-24 against England at Port-of-Spain which demolished the tourists for just 46 in the fourth innings. His new ball partnership with his best friend and fellow pace icon Courtney Walsh ensured the West Indies remained a potent adversary despite the team's downward spiral post the loss of 1994-95 Sir Frank Worrell Trophy at home, however Ambrose from thereon was plagued by injuries having borne the brunt of bowling workload with Walsh with negligible support to the duo from the others in the line-up. Having burned himself out at the end of the century, Ambrose bowed out of the scene with 405 wickets to his name at an astounding average of barely 21, the best for any bowler, whether pace or spin, with 400 scalps or above.
Notoriously reclusive during his career with the renowned motto "Curtly talks to no man", Ambrose has been fairly more approachable lately, with his smile being as joyful for interviewers as terrorizing him taking his bowling positions was, particularly for the best batsmen in the world. - Production Designer

Faiyaz is also known for his dedication and hardwork and commitment on time is his special ability on the sets.- "Heights of glory, depths of humiliation" was the line used as an obituary for disgraced US President Richard Nixon in 1994. Perhaps no cricketer in history fits the tag as much as Mohammad Azharuddin. He blazed onto the cricket scene like a storm, hitting 3 centuries in each of his first three tests, was the first to appear in over 300 ODIs, dominated the Indian cricketing landscape as a captain like no other till then and was married to a supermodel whose heart not even bonafide Bollywood superstars could win. But all of these accomplishments came to a nought when it was revealed he was the kingpin of the match fixing scandal which left the cricketing world in a state of complete shock. Banned for life from ever playing again, Azhar took the BCCI to the court challenging the decision, but evidence against him was substantial to the point it took the bench of a local judiciary to revoke his ban, something beyond its jurisdiction. Apart from his ethical conduct, his batsmanship too has undergone tight scrutiny in recent years, with statistics proving him to be a complete flat track bully who faltered time and time again on the challenging surfaces outside the subcontinent, irrespective of his fans' beliefs that with the willow in his hand, he was nothing less than a genius.
Beyond the sporting domain, Azhar served as a Member of Parliament on an Indian National Congress ticket from the constituency of Moradabad from 2009 to 2014 where yet again, he proved to be what he was as the captain of the Indian team: disinterested in the concerns of his constitutional subjects, aloof from key development matters and unapproachable. - Producer

Hail from Nagor district in Rajasthan and worked as intern and assistant previously at Jaipur at a Production house and now based in Mumbai.- In order to last longer, some fast bowlers reduce their pace e.g. Sir Richard Hadlee, some remodel their action e.g. Dennis Lillee and some simply reduce their workload e.g. Imran Khan. Well, Courtney Andrew Walsh did NEITHER, bowling relentlessly with a combination of vicious speed, razor sharp accuracy, unbound stamina and supreme control over line-and-length in a career spread across 3 decades and 17 years. Selected for a West Indies team boasting of a who's who of pace bowling, Walsh threw himself into learning the tricks of the trade before eventually being handed over the new ball after 8 years of rigorous education in the domain. Most speculated that being past 30 by then, he was beyond his shelf life, but Walsh turned prophecies over their heads, first in partnership with his best friend Curtly Ambrose when he toppled his mentor Malcolm Marshall's tally of the highest wickets taken for the West Indies, followed by joining Indian legend Kapil Dev and New Zealand's Sir Richard Hadlee in the elite 400 scalp club apart from grabbing the most wickets as of date from either sides in the Sir Frank Worrell Trophy and finally scaling the near superhuman milestone of 500 test victims before officially bowing out of the arena with a match winning spell of 6 wickets in his penultimate appearance.
Although several have gone past Walsh's tally of 519 test wickets in the years following his retirement, in regards to the craft and skill set of fast bowling, Walsh stands the test of time as amongst the greatest for all ages.
And of course, there might also be avid cricket fans who would remember Walsh as a nightmare for even the greatest of batsmen but with a bat in his own hands, a lovable bunny. - Director
