This episode has the darkest feel so far, with a creepy 'ghostly' killer and blood splatters everywhere. The man has gone insane after years and years of killing. Unnecessary amounts of blood sprayed around in this and the next episode, which add little if anything to the overall narrative, although they do show a little bit more of the character of Kenshin.
