Review of Sniper 3

Sniper 3 (2004 Video)
Very slow and little of interest
27 September 2004
Having seen the original Sniper film (I haven't had chance to see the second yet) I was looking forward to this one. I wondered how they would make a third film about a very focused topic without just providing more of the same. An old and weighted Tom Beringer isn't up to his best. His portrayal of a lonely hard man has given way to a man who appears to have little interest in the part he's acting. The film is very slow, and is really a last ditch attempt to gather as much floss from the series as possible. The better acting in the film comes from the half American / half Vietmanese cop who plays alongside Tom Beringer in the Vietnam scenes. Never really picking up pace, it displays little of interest to the viewer expecting more Sniper goodness, or for that matter, more of any other goodness.
