Today brought the announcement that horror fans have been patiently waiting for since Michael Myers returned to the big screen last October. Blumhouse is making not just one sequel to their 2018 Halloween reboot but also a third film to complete the trilogy – and maybe the series as a whole – to follow the next year. What’s more, it’s been confirmed that Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise the iconic role of Laurie Strode once again.
Jason Blum, founder of Blumhouse, revealed the exciting news on Twitter. As well as announcing the two movies’ titles and release dates – Halloween Kills (2019) and Halloween Ends (2020) – Blum clarified that “the gang is All back.” This means that Curtis will again lead, with Danny McBride contributing to the script and David Gordon Green directing. Halloween creator John Carpenter will also return to compose the score.
