It’s another good weekend at the box office for Disney, as Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” will easily beat newcomers “Annabelle Comes Home” and “Yesterday” to stay at No. 1.
“Toy Story 4” is still performing slightly ahead of “Toy Story 3,” earning an estimated $17 million on its second Friday. Industry estimates now expect a $56 million second weekend, a 54% drop from the film’s $120.9 million opening and a 10-day total of $235 million. By comparison, “Toy Story 3” had a 10-day total of $226.8 million in 2010.
In second is Warner Bros./New Line’s “Annabelle Comes Home,” the sixth film in the “Conjuring” franchise which opened on Wednesday and earned $11 million before the weekend began. The horror movie earned $6.6 million on Friday and is projected by industry estimates to earn $19 million over the weekend.
