For his (rumored) last on-screen role, Robert Redford has teamed up with “Ghost Story” filmmaker David Lowery to tell a real-life bank robber tale, with a twist.
Based on the actual exploits of legendary robber Forrest Tucker, the film recently debuted at the Telluride Film Festival, where IndieWire’s Eric Kohn wrote in his review of the “charming” film that the film “culls from journalist David Grann’s 2003 New Yorker article about Tucker’s decade-spanning robberies and jail breaks, but it roots the story in a specific turning point.
