Friday the 13th has had a very rocky road to resurrection. After the 2009 reboot, the rights to the franchise shifted between studios and the shuffling of paperwork meant yet another reboot was in order. It then bounced around from director to director. At one point it was going to be found footage, but then that craze died. A writer from Hannibal came on board, everyone was excited. But that didn't work, either. Finally it seemed like Platinum Dunes, Paramount and new director Breck Eisner (The Crazies) were all on the same page. Just last week it was reported that pre-production was underway in Georgia and a casting call was out for a number of different members of the Voorhees clan, including Jason and his dad, Elias.
