The fans that have stuck to the new Doom reboot online have asked for the return of one thing, deathmatch. Finally we get it!
Doom update #3 finally hit the game earlier and it comes entirely free. It works as a "patch" to the title, but with it comes additional content for all fans. This new content includes free-for-all deathmatch, and the addition of private lobbies.
In free-for-all deathmatch demon runes have been disabled, but all characteristics of the game elsewhere are still there. For private lobbies you can now create a game, invite friends, and then mess with the settings. One of the settings is the ability to disable demon runes in all modes.
To celebrate the patch the game is hosting double Xp weekend which started earlier this morning and lasts through Sunday.
The rest of the update is basically patch notes for the single player portion of the game and Snap-Map.
