The results are in for the 29th annual Women in Film Foundation’s Film Finishing Fund. More than 120 films, including features, shorts and documentaries, both domestic and international, competed for cash grants and production services. Submitted films were reviewed by a panel of Wiff judges, including co-chairs of the fund’s grant program Betsy Pollock, associate dean of production at AFI, and producer Nancy Rae Stone. Entry criteria stated the films be by, for or about women.
“It’s always interesting to see what subjects are attracting women or what female oriented topics are being explored” said Pollock and Stone. “It reminds you that women are interested in a lot more than female oriented stories. They explore the topics of art, personal freedom, independence and bravery.”
The 2014 Wiff Film Finishing Fund winners are:
Narrative Feature Films
“I am Nojoom, Age 10 and Divorced”
Khadija Alsalami, director/producer
Documentary Films
