It's been six years since their life-altering drama "Slumdog Millionaire" hit theaters, and now the six children from the film open up about their new lives in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter.
The publication caught up with Tanay Chheda, Ashutosh Gajiwala, Azharuddin Ismail, Rubina Ali, Tanvi Lonkar, and Ayush Khedekar to discuss life since "Slumdog" and even shared their future plans.
"['Slumdog Millionaire' was] more than a dream," 17-year-old Tanay explained. "It was [a] fantasy come true."
While the search for the now famous children received its own backlash, the film's director Danny Boyle admitted there were other issues that the production experience. "Some of the kids don't know their birth dates, so getting them a passport was a nightmare."
He continued, "We were aware we would have to make provisions for the children."
