Julianne Moore is the Mother in Carrie Remake
While many wanted to see Sissy Spacek play the mother in the upcoming "Carrie" remake, Deadline has now learned that the role went to Julianne Moore, who beat Jodie Foster for the part. The title character will be played by Chloe Moretz (Let Me In) and Gabriella Wilde has been cast as Sue Snell, the girl who convinces her boyfriend to take Carrie to the prom. The new movie will be directed by Kim Pierce (Boys Don't Cry) and will be based on the original Stephen King novel. It's set to hit theaters on March 15th, 2013.
