Since Helena Mankowska discovered her passion for acting in 2015, she has gone from completely unknown to worldwide recognition. Her 2021 role as a face model for the character of Lady Dimitrescu in the Resident Evil Village video game (Capcom, 2021) has brought international acclaim and a massive number of new fans from all over the world.
She has also appeared in numerous short films, music videos and commercials, and had the privilege to appear as a stunt double for Mila Jovovich (The 5th Element, Resident Evil) in Jovovich's latest movie, Paradise Hills. Helena's sultry stare and exotic looks often lands her the role of assassin, secret agent, femme fatale 9or in the case of Resident Evil, a mysterious vampire).
Helena was born in Poland and began her modeling career in 2017. She later studied Meisner Technique through the Ivana Chubbuck Actors Workshop under the direction of Frank Feys, followed by two years of study with international casting director Lucy Lenox (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Perfume) at Frank Stein Studio in Barcelona, Spain.
After moving to Barcelona, her training as a stuntwoman began at In Extremis Film Services, one of the leading stunts and special effects companies in Spain. Helena later continued her studies with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat's Valentina Calandriello, Guillem Fernandez-Valls (stunt coordinator for Game of Thrones) and Renato Camargos (second director of Recam Stunt Academy).
In 2018, she moved to London to study intensively under renowned acting coaches Mel Churcher (Angelina Jolie, Mila Jovovich) and Clare Davidson (Pierce Brosnan, Dudley Moore and Orlando Bloom). Helena graduated from London's Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2020, and currently resides in Barcelona where she continues to work on diverse projects.
She has spent most of her time since then making public appearances as Lady D - both in person at major comics conventions and exclusive events, as well as online thanks to digital autograph platforms such as Streamily. In between signings, she was also featured in a commercial for Moroccan beauty brand Cavaillès Maroc, a photo session for Spanish sustainable clothing designers Nebula Lab, and did some stunt work in a car chase scene for a client of In Extremis Film Services. Helena has also used her new-found fame to advocate for causes close to her heart, such as raising money for children in need of treatment for severe illness in her home country of Poland.
