Eleni Molfeta was born in 1995. She has studied directing, photography and acting in Athens. She works in the film industry for the past seven years as assistant director and production manager in several short and feature films. Her graduation short film Nekydallo, a personal testimony of self destruction and pain of a loss, won 13 awards around the world. The same year, she produced Madonna f64.0 which won and institute the Drama Queer Award at the Drama International Short Film Festival 2020.
Eleni was also selected as one of the Talents Sarajevo 2018, with a scene from her script Love, Loss & Oysters at the Film Stage Studio, part of the festival's program, guided by Gyula Gazdag which took place at the Sarajevo International Film Festival. Love, Loss & Oysters was also selected at the Script Station of Talents Sarajevo 2022, the lab was guided by Oliva Hetreed, Teresa Cavina, Jan Forsström and at the Torino Short Film Market (TSFM) Word - Frame Greece which was held this year, for the first time at the Drama International Short Film Festival, guided by Massimiliano Nardulli and Nazli Elif Durlu. In addition, her script of the short film Orizontas, a film about how loss can lead to creation, was selected at the New Arrivals: Go Short Campus at the Go Short Film Festival Nijmegen.
Nowadays, she works as 1st AD in commercials, while she is preparing her debut short film Thermokipio, a story about fictional worlds and reconciliation with loss and in development of the short film Love, Loss & Oysters, a love story about sentimental detachment. Her films are dealing with loss and trauma and her vision focuses in the poetry of images, between reality and fantasy.
She is also writing her first feature film "Wings".
