Abigail was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Growing up she was constantly drawing and when she realized she could turn that into a career she applied for the Edinburgh College of Art. She left Drummond Community High School at 17 and began a course in animation. She graduated at 24 with a both a BA(Hons) and an MFA in animation.
During her time at ECA she made two short animated films, "Dissonance" and "Woman of the Moon". The first chronicled the journey of an astronaut lost in space without his usual melodic coping mechanisms and the later depicted inspiration and it's fleeting nature.
Following her graduation she went on to work on commercial advertising projects with local companies in Scotland. She also created a Youtube channel where she blogs about her practice as an animation director and artist.
