Gabrielle Jeanelle, was born and raised in the inner-city of Buffalo, NY. She was tasked with pulling her family from the grips of poverty by studying bio-medical engineering as a first generation college student. Too bad she was gifted in storytelling. After she finally graduated from Syracuse University, not before flunking out first of course, she devoted all of her efforts to pursue a career in film.
Gabrielle is a fantasy adventure writer who puts message before genre. The murder of Mike Brown instinctively compelled her to take her gift of storytelling to explore conversations that happen in the Black community. She continues make those topics digestible to society while also expressing them in cinematic form.
Her short film WTF - What the Future has won several awards and been an Official Selection in 2022 for:
The Kwanzaa Film Festival, The Denton Black Film Festival, The Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival, and the 12 Annual Charlotte Black Film Festival just to name a few.
Gabrielle works as an Assistant Production Coordinator in Atlanta, GA for various production companies that produce content for studios like Marvel, Paramount, Netflix and Amazon.
