- Johnnie Joe Garcia, Jr. is a man of many talents and has overcome numerous obstacles to pursue his passion for acting. He was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and is the oldest of three children. Johnnie's grandparents from his father's side, Joe and Guadalupe Garcia, raised him and inspired him to pursue his dreams. Johnnie's passion for acting began when he performed in his first school staged play at Allison Elementary. However, due to family obstacles, he had to postpone his dream for many years.
Johnnie's perseverance and dedication to his craft are evident in his accomplishments. He served the United States Air Force Honorably between the years 2000-2005, being awarded 2 Air Force Achievement Medals, during Operation Enduring Freedom in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq during the Iraqi War. In 1995, Johnnie was part of the Spanish Honor Society and graduated from Crockett High School.
Johnnie's grandparents' words of wisdom, "Life comes with struggles, let your struggles be your strength to move forward," have been a guiding force in his life. After their passing, Johnnie became a better father to his daughter Gabriela and was more inspired than ever to pursue his dream of becoming a working actor.
Johnnie's educational background includes an Associates of Arts Degree in Spanish from Austin Community College (ACC) in 2014. He completed Acting 1 course at Austin Community College (Spring 2022) and is planning to take more acting and theatrical classes at ACC in the near future.
Johnnie is excited to be represented by his talent agent Claudia Ramon from Condra Artista Talent Agency based in San Antonio, Texas. He is honored to play the part of Carlos in the Crime/Action/Drama independent film called, "His Stretch of Texas Ground" written and directed by Ralph Cinque.
