A third “Psych” revival movie, titled “Psych 3: This Is Gus,” has been ordered at Peacock, Variety has learned.
In the film, in preparation for a shotgun wedding before the birth of Baby Guster, Shawn (James Roday Rodriguez) and Groomzilla Gus (Dulé Hill) go rogue in an attempt to track down Selene’s (Jazmyn Simon) estranged husband, as Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) grapples with the future of his career.
Along with the previously announced cast members, original series stars Maggie Lawson, Kristen Nelson, and Corbin Bernsen will reprise their roles from the beloved USA Network series. The film will begin production in Vancouver this summer.
“Psych” creator Steve Franks will co-write along with Rodriguez. Both will also executive produce with Franks also directing. Hill is also an executive producer along with Chris Henze of Thruline.
