Lee Petcher was born in Halifax - West Yorkshire and later settled in Manchester. Growing up in Bradford, in a working-class home, he was inspired by his father, a guitarist, and his brother's success in school plays. Initially aspiring to be a doctor, Lee discovered his passion for acting during his time at Whitcliffe Mount Upper School, where he portrayed "Cookie" in the school musical 'Return To The Forbidden Planet.'
He pursued drama and music for GCSEs at Whitcliffe Mount Upper School and continued his artistic journey with a Btec National Diploma of Performing Arts at Huddersfield Technical College. He further honed his skills through a summer course at the National Youth Theatre and a year-long intensive course at ActAcademy.
Lee's career began to flourish as he landed the lead role in Upper School plays and ventured into professional acting, securing his first role as "Buttons" in a TIE tour of Cinderella with Chaplins Panto's. He embarked on tours with various theatre companies, showcasing his talent in retirement homes and even ventured to the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe with ActAcademy.
In pursuit of creative excellence, Lee co-founded 'Narthen Productions,' a theatre company in Manchester, showcasing his versatility by participating in plays and winning accolades for his performance. He transitioned into the realm of screen acting, featuring in short films, a web-series, and notably, making his mark on television, playing a journalist in Coronation Street.
A master of versatility, Lee Petcher does not limit himself to a specific acting style, instead adapting to the unique requirements of each project. Beyond the spotlight, Lee channels his energy into a variety of interests. He's an avid guitar player, a dedicated marathon runner, and a black belt holder in Karate.
