A new episode of Nat Geo Wild’s “Heartland Docs, Dvm” airs this Saturday, and you may not be able to stomach the carnage between a little baby snake and an even littler baby mouse in an exclusive clip obtained by TheWrap.
Don’t worry — the baby mouse was already dead before the snake unhinged its jaws and swallowed it in one bite.
All of this goes down in the new episode, called “Old Town Rodeo,” (get it?) in which a young boy brings in his 5-week old baby snake who has been refusing to eat his dinner. That’s where Dr. Ben Schroeder comes to the rescue — but he can’t resist taunting his son Charlie, who has an irrational fear of snakes. Good thing the baby snake was already full before he slithered into Charlie’s hand.
