- Tanuj Vyas (born 26 October 1993) is an independent Indian filmmaker known for his work in writing and directing. He has made significant contributions to the film industry through his production house, Legend DreamWorks. Vyas ventured into filmmaking with his directorial debut, "The Legend of Kabira" (2014), a short film that delves into the aspirations of a young child aiming for legendary status. His subsequent works include "Common Student" (2015), a political drama set in a university student union, "The Lying Stars" (2016), a children's drama influenced by the teachings of OSHO, and "Think Power" (2017), an experimental short film exploring human intelligence.
Vyas's films have received recognition on the international stage, with "The Lying Stars" being selected in eight international film festivals and "Think Power" in five. His feature film debut, "Namak (Salt)" (2020), a crime thriller drama in the Rajasthani language, garnered critical acclaim and won four awards, including Best Film, at the Rajasthan International Festival 2022. The film was released on the STAGE app Ott platform.
