Bengaluru, May 21 (Ians) Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final league match of Ipl 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. But just three minutes before the start of play, rain arrived again, leading to pitch being covered quickly.
With Mumbai defeating bottom-ranked Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium by eight wickets, thanks to an unbeaten 47-ball century from Cameron Green and now at fourth place with 16 points, Bangalore have to beat table-toppers Gujarat to get into the playoffs.
After winning the toss, Hardik said his playing eleven is unchanged from their last game, where they won by 34 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad and decision to bowl first came due to the weather.
“Just want to know how much we are going to chase. For us to win games and continue the momentum, I believe in good habits.

Bengaluru, April 23 (Ians) Rajasthan Royals (Rr) won the toss and opted to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rcb) in an Ipl 2023 match at M.A Chinnaswamy Stadium, here on Sunday.
While Rr stuck to the same playing XI, Rcb made one change as David Willey came in for Wayne Parnell.
“Looking at the conditions, our side and their side. So we’d prefer bowling. The dressing room is simple, honest and we need to respect the way we are playing. We are starting with the same XI, might add someone later on,” Rr skipper Sanju Samson said at the toss.
On the other hand, Rcb stand-in captain Virat Kohli said the regular skipper Faf du Plessis continues to play as an impact substitute.
“It was pretty easy to choose, we’d have batted first. This wicket looks dry and it will get drier and might break up first. I...

Mohali, April 20 (Ians) Sam Curran continues to captain Punjab Kings in absence of injured Shikhar Dhawan as he won the toss and elected to bowl first against a Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Is Bindra Pca Stadium on Thursday.
While Punjab enter Thursday’s match on the back of a two-wicket win coming in the last over against Lucknow Super Giants, Bangalore suffered an eight-run defeat against the Chennai Super Kings, despite fine half-centuries from Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell.
A win for Punjab will help them level with Lucknow and the Rajasthan Royals on points. After winning the toss, Curran said Liam Livingstone and Nathan Ellis come into the playing eleven, with Kagiso Rabada and Sikandar Raza, the player of the match in Punjab’s last game, being the omissions.
“We did well in the last game and we’ll take some confidence, conditions will not change a lot.

Bengaluru, April 2 (Ians) Young left-handed batter Tilak Varma smashed an unbeaten 84 off just 46 balls to steer Mumbai Indians to 171/7 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in an Ipl 2023 match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, here on Sunday.
Pushed into batting first, Mumbai crumbled to 48/4 and then to 123/7 at one stage, looking in danger of being shot out for a below-par total. But Varma stood tall and impressed everyone with his skill and temperament in hitting nine boundaries and four sixes at a strike-rate of 182.6, as Mumbai got 69 runs from the last five overs.
Ishan Kishan gave Mumbai a nice start by slamming Reece Topley twice through cover for a brace of boundaries. But Kishan fell in the third over, as his attempt to flick off Mohammed Siraj took a fat leading edge to short third man.
Cameron Green started well with a drive, but was cleaned bowled by a Reece Topley yorker...

Bengaluru, April 2 (Ians) Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first against Mumbai Indians in their first match of Ipl 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, here on Sunday.

“There was a bit of dew when we practised. We have been so excited to get started tonight. This is one of the great stadiums to play cricket in,” he said.
“Our first goal is to make those playoffs, and follow the processes.
