Niklas Nikolajsen graduated at the Copenhagen Business School and worked as a software architect and developer, in the later years of his career mainly in the financial sector. Since 2010, he has been a proponent of Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. He co-founded Bitcoin Suisse AG, a Swiss crypto-financial service provider, in 2013 and joined the Digital Finance Compliance Association in 2014 where held a position in the board until beginning 2016.
He is president of the Liberland Settlement Association, related to the Free Republic of Liberland which is a sovereign state located between Croatia and Serbia.
Nikolajsen was listed among the top 100 most influential Swiss bankers by the Swiss magazine Bilanz in 2016 and 2018.
In 2018, Nikolajsen bought the Salesianum, a residence on the lakeside of Zug built in 1750, which is considered one of the landmarks of Zug.
