Born and raised in Miami, FL, David graduated with BS and Master's degrees in Criminal Justice from Troy University in Alabama. After a 33-year career in law enforcement (5 as a Montgomery, AL police officer; 16 as a Special Agent with U.S. Customs; and 12 as a Federal Air Marshal), David retired in 2014. His career is chronicled in his self-published memoir, "They Paid Me For This?". His first novel, "Barbaric Justice" won Top 5 Finalist honors in the "Thriller" category at the Next Generation Indy Book Awards. The book is a fast-paced story of political corruption, murder and criminal intrigue. Personal insight gained throughout his long career brings a sense of realism to the writing, similar in style to Vince Flynn and Brad Thor thrillers. David's second novel, "Sittin' In Amen Corner", is a heart-warming story of love and legacy, steeped in Southern tradition, heritage and pride. Most of David's ancestors grew up poor in the Deep South, and this novel is full of stories told to him over the years, all based on real-life experiences encountered by his ancestors.
