ABC has released a new trailer for Cobie Smulders’ upcoming new series Stumptown, which is based on the Oni Press comic book series written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by Matthew Southworth.
Smulders plays Dex Parios, “a strong, assertive, and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt, and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon. Her military intelligence skills make her a great P.I., but her unapologetic style puts her in the firing line of hardcore criminals and not quite in alliance with the police.”
This looks like a fun and entertaining series, and Dex is a perfect character for Smulders to play. There’s no doubt that she had a blast bringing this character to life. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen from this series, and I’m looking forward to checking it out. The series also stars Jake Johnson and Michael Ealy.
