The Curse of Oak Island team arrives in Italy and the Netherlands this week to research the route the Templar Knights may have taken while transporting treasure from the Holy Land to Oak Island.
Also, this week, the guys uncover a surprising artifact on Lot 5 that could date back to the medieval era.
Rick Lagina, Alex Lagina, and Doug Crowell have been spreading their wings in recent seasons with trips across the Atlantic, and this time, they’re off to a castle in the Netherlands and a medieval abbey near Milan, Italy.
The guys hope to find evidence that in the 13th century, the Templar Knights secretly transported religious artifacts and other treasures from Jerusalem across Europe and onward to Oak Island.
The team is being led by researcher Corjan Mol, who has discovered a Templar-built castle. He says it features symbols found on and near Oak Island.
A preview suggests that Corjan is accurate,...

On The Curse of Oak Island this week, the team uncovers a brand new stone feature at the exact spot where an expert told them to dig for the Ark of the Covenant.
In recent weeks, researcher and symbologist John Edwards identified a couple of places along Nolan’s Cross where he believes Templar Knights have buried the Ark of the Covenant and possibly other ancient Christian artifacts.
John came to this conclusion after studying old books and documents that he believed used a cipher to reference the Ark, Oak Island, Templar Knights, and the Knight’s descendants in the Freemasons.
The researcher said that Nolan’s Cross was part of a bigger structure that marked a secret burial spot.
The guys wasted no time sending Billy Gerhardt and his digger into the area to investigate, and last week, he had already uncovered an unusually placed boulder. This week, Billy...

The Curse of Oak Island has found three possible locations where the Ark of the Covenant may be buried at Nolan’s Cross, and they’ve already started digging.
Also, on this week’s Oak Island, another artifact further linked both the Vikings and Templar Knights to the island, and there was a major crisis at the Garden Shaft.
Researcher John Edwards was back in the War Room with three ‘X marks the spot’ locations. He is convinced that Nolan’s Cross is part of a larger monument made in the shape of an ancient Jewish and Christian symbol known as the Tree of Life.
John identified three spots along the main axis of Nolan’s Cross where he suspects the Ark of the Covenant may be buried. The locations were all on Tom Nolan’s land, but he quickly suggested that the guys start digging in the area.

The Curse of Oak Island guys have finally reached their target depth in the Garden Shaft, but there’s a major snag as they hit a potential flood tunnel.
This week’s episode of Oak Island is Season 11, Episode 20, and the show is called Wet and Wild, as the producers drop more hints about the problems at the bottom of the Garden Shaft.
The Dumas Mining crew have been gunning for a depth of 106 feet and they will hit that target on tonight’s episode. The plan was to then begin horizontal drilling toward the Baby Blob in the hope of finding the treasure.
However, a preview showed the miners scrambling for safety as they struggled to get out of the deep shaft as water came flooding in. It looked like a torrent!
Unfortunately, this could be one of the infamous and mysterious flood tunnels installed by the original depositors.

This week on The Curse of Oak Island, the guys dated two artifacts from the Garden Shaft as original depositor items, and a new expert explained how the Vikings may have aided the Templar Knights in bringing treasures to the island.
The Dumas miner guys pulled up a series of old-looking beams from 100 feet below ground at the bottom of the Garden Shaft. The team had assumed these were part of a tunnel; however, they did not find a tunnel-shaped structure.
The guys speculated that the tunnel’s walls and ceiling had been previously removed, leaving only the floor. It could be disappointing if they can’t find a defined tunnel; they obviously cannot follow it to the treasure.
Now for some good news. Blacksmith Carmen Legge and archaeo-metallurgist Emma Cullingan combined their brain power and technology to examine two small iron artifacts found with the wood beams at the bottom of the Garden Shaft.

The Curse of Oak Island team unearths a new ancient structure in the swamp, and they learn more about how the Vikings may have traveled to the island.
This week, the History Channel airs Season 11, Episode 18, of Oak Island, and the show is called May the Norse Be With You, an obvious clue that the Vikings/Norsemen will likely feature.
In the meantime, Billy Gerhardt has uncovered yet another human-made structure in the swamp, on this occasion, it’s a wooden wall. Geoscientist Ian Spooner is on hand to point out that the red clay found by the wall is the same material found under the stone roadway, which would “push it further back in time.”
Some theories on the roadway date it back 500 years and more, which could mean that this wall is incredibly old, too. We already have structures such as the paved area dating back to 1200. So,...

The Curse of Oak Island team must brace themselves as they find themselves in the path of a destructive hurricane, and there’s more digging in the swamp and an analysis of samples from the Money Pit area.
Tonight will see The History Channel’s Season 11, Episode 16, of The Curse of Oak Island. This episode is called Dark and Stormy, clearly a reference to the hurricane bearing down on the island.
Unfortunately, the Oak Island guys are subject to the whims of Mother Nature, and the often harsh climate regularly stops them in their tracks. The team ceases operations every winter as the cold weather descends.
The guys already endured flood damage at the Garden Shaft earlier in the season, and now it seems as though they’ve got a hurricane to deal with. This is likely Hurricane Idalia, which struck Nova Scotia last August, or perhaps Hurricane Lee, which hit in September.

The Curse of Oak Island is really ramping up the excitement on their primary project for this season as they commence exploring the long sought-after tunnel below the Garden Shaft.
Tonight’s show is Season 11, Episode 15, and The Curse of Oak Island guys call this episode On Target.
Much of the focus will be on tracing the tunnel route they’ve all but confirmed is lying at 95 feet just below the Garden Shaft and heading toward the high deposits of precious metals sitting in the Baby Blob area.
But fans can also expect much of the focus tonight to be on the swamp and Nolan’s Cross.
Last week, the team got the results of carbon-14 dating on a piece of wood from this tunnel, and it registered a super exciting date range of 1631 to 1684. Which obviously puts it in the realm of the treasure depositors.
Due to extensive flooding combined with various holdups,...

The Curse of Oak Island team may have finally found evidence of long-term habitation on Lot 5 and directly linked the site with the Money Pit and the Garden Shaft.
The guys have long struggled to find evidence on the island that suggests treasure depositors had lived and worked there for the extended period necessary to create the Money Pit. On last night’s show, they may have cracked the riddle.
The archaeologists have spent the last few weeks examining a stone structure found under a circular depression on Lot 5. The structure increasingly looks like a super large complex that could have housed multiple people.
Last night, archaeologist Jamie Kouba encountered what she thought may have been a crude mortar at the site. Jack Begley remembered finding similar material in the spoils pulled out of the Money Pit, so the guys sent it to archaeometallurgist Emma Culligan for analysis and comparison.

The Curse of Oak Island guys have found a direct link between the strange stone structures on Lot 5 and the Money Pit.
This week’s show is Season 11, Episode 14, and the History Channel has named the episode Rick and Mortar.
Much of the focus for this week will likely be aimed at Lot 5, on the western side of the island, and the two stone structures, one circular and one rectangular, that are buried there. These stone features are intriguing because of their large size and the fact that they were deliberately hidden and concealed.
This seems to be where all the important artifacts are coming from at the moment. Recently, archaeologists uncovered pottery, coins, and 500-year-old Venetian glass beads.
However, most of the artifacts are coming back from about the mid-18th century, around the 1750s and 60s, a few decades before the initial discovery of the Money Pit in...

This week, on The Curse of Oak Island, the guys were busy all over the island as they continued uncovering more features in the swamp and more jewelry and coins on Lot 5.
Billy Gerhardt has been happily digging in the southwest corner of the swamp for the last couple of weeks, and he appears to have uncovered some interesting features. Last week, he hit some wood timbers, which the guys reckon may be a dam used to create the swamp.
This week, Billy uncovered some more similar stones adjacent to the old stone roadway, which made the guys conclude that they were likely an extension of the possible 500-year-old road.
The team believes they are right at the edge of either the stone road or a wharf and right at a loading zone. They are now trying to figure out exactly where the swamp/road ended and where the beach began.

The Curse of Oak Island team believes the Chappell Vault is buried in the Money Pit area at a depth of 180 feet, and they know exactly where to dig. The guys have also uncovered a structure in the swamp they suspect may be a dam.
This week on Oak Island, there were beaming smiles all around the War Room as geologist Terry Matheson had some major news.
Terry looked delighted to be in the War Room, and it wasn’t just because this was a rare foray indoors for him; he suspects they’ve finally found the elusive Chappell Vault.
A few weeks ago, we all learned the results of the Muon tomography survey, which involved buried sonar devices mapping the underground area of the island. The detectors spent two years detecting various areas of low density, which could contain voids or containers, such as treasure chests.
The survey highlighted three areas of particular interest,...
